My niece has mild eczema, so I gifted her this product. She says it's great for hydration. Since it's an oil, I think a pump dispenser would be less messy and more convenient. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinJan 31, 2023
I bought this as a recommended product on Cou* and the price-to-volume ratio was so good, it definitely passed the value-for-money test! As winter approached, both my baby and I found that one emulsion wasn't enough to combat the dryness. I'm so glad I tried this - it absorbs well without being sticky! When I was young, I had atopic dermatitis, and my parents used to apply Johnson's* oil, which always made me itchy. So I swore off oils completely! But this product opened up a whole new world for me. It truly showed me 'Ah, so this is what oil should be like'. Even for someone sensitive to fragrances like me, it's fine. It's unscented, with maybe just the tiniest hint of a scent? But it's so subtle that I don't notice it at all when applying or wearing clothes. I plan to keep repurchasing this in the future. For those with dry skin or anyone dealing with dry, itchy skin during seasonal changes, please give this a try, you won't regret it! However, I rarely use it on my face, and when I do, I'm careful not to get it in my eyes. I noticed my eyes getting cloudy, and babies tend to rub their eyes a lot, so please be extremely careful. You can mix the Weleda oil with your regular emulsion. I found I didn't need to be too precise with the amount - using it generously works fine for me. One of the advantages is the large volume, so you can use it liberally. Both my baby and I use it. It's so hydrating and just great! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 30, 2021
This gentle oil is fantastic for the whole family, not just the kids. Being fragrance-free, it's perfect for me as I like to mix it with other body products without worrying about conflicting scents. Recently, my children's skin has become quite dry, so I added a couple of pumps to their body emulsion. It's amazing how quickly their skin became hydrated again! I was initially concerned about the oil gushing out due to its consistency, but surprisingly, the dispenser releases a controlled amount when pressed. It's so convenient and user-friendly! While I personally appreciate the lightweight nature of this oil, those who prefer richer formulas might find it a bit too light for their liking. They may need to apply more product to achieve their desired level of moisturization. For best results, apply the oil to damp skin right after showering, before completely drying off. This helps lock in moisture and makes application smoother. You can also boost the hydration of your body emulsion by mixing in a drop or two of this oil. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 6, 2021
The fragrance-free formula is great for those with sensitive noses. I tried it on my little ones, and it absorbs much better than regular oils. It leaves almost no stickiness or slipperiness, absorbing well into the skin. It seems perfect for moisturizing without that tacky feeling in fall and winter, so my skin will be more hydrated this year. The generous amount means I can apply it liberally. Given that it's an oil, it might not be suitable for those with very oily skin types. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAug 31, 2021
The Hwahae Testers say: This oil absorbs well into the skin. After showering, I mix it with my usual emulsion or cream and apply it. For drier areas, I add an extra layer of just the oil. The fact that it's fragrance-free makes it even better for use on children. It's tricky to control the amount that comes out. I was a bit surprised when a lot gushed out at first. I've found it works wonders for my child's nummular eczema or when their skin gets bumpy. Applying it after a shower seems to help, and it appears to reduce itching too. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 23, 2021
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. I've only tried Weleda's toothpaste before and didn't know they made cosmetics too. I love their signature design and the rich, nourishing oil texture. Although it's not quite the season for body oils yet, I've been mixing it with herbal salt for leg massages. It rolls on smoothly and doesn't dry quickly, so the hydration lasts long. It's unscented, and I even tried it as a cleansing oil. It's neither too rich nor too light - just perfect. What I appreciate most is the bottle design - even when turned upside down, it doesn't drip excessively. This also means less air gets in, potentially reducing oxidation and spoilage. It's a bit disappointing that the ingredients aren't as good as I expected. I hope they'll replace some with better ones in the future. It's ideal as both a cleansing oil and a massage oil. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 22, 2021
* Scent♡ Made with gentle ingredients and no added fragrances, it has a natural sesame oil aroma. * Packaging♡ The bottle opening is sealed, allowing for clean storage after use. * Hydration♡ It's not a thin, watery oil but a rich one, which makes it incredibly moisturizing. It leaves even elbows and heels feeling silky smooth. * Application♡ It has a thick consistency, so you need to massage it in well when applying the oil alone. * Ingredients♡ The ingredients are so gentle that you can use it on children with peace of mind. * Packaging♡ Because the bottle is sealed, the product can come out suddenly, so be careful. However, it doesn't dispense too much at once, which I found acceptable. For extra hydration in the depths of winter, try mixing it with your body emulsion or cream! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 19, 2021
Since I have dry skin, I think it would work well when used together with an emulsion. It provides good hydration. It's a bit disappointing that there's no fragrance. I wish the moisturizing effect would absorb better into the skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 17, 2021
Here's my review of Hwahae's product. First off, my child's skin gets rough and itchy immediately without moisturizing, and they have atopic dermatitis, so we're really attentive to skincare. We've tried all the famous products, and oil is a must when the cold wind starts blowing. Even though it's for my child, I always test it myself for at least two weeks before using it together. This oil has a light stickiness. After applying, it absorbs well and doesn't feel sticky. With the current autumn weather - hot during the day but cool breezes at dawn, and low humidity - it's a great time to start using oil for hydration. I applied it on knees, elbows, and creases, and it made the skin smooth. If it's too sticky, I usually wash it off, but this one is appropriately oily and absorbs well. I discovered a really great feature - the nozzle is fantastic. No matter how well you store oils, they usually get on the cap and drip, but this one has a nozzle like Heinz ketchup, so you have to squeeze to dispense it, and when you stop, it cuts off cleanly. No need to put tissue under the oil bottle, which is great! When it gets colder, it might be better to mix it with a cream or emulsion. It's an oil that suits autumn weather, but might not be moisturizing enough for winter. And the scent... It's unscented, so I thought it wouldn't smell like anything, but it has a scent like the bamboo baskets used for frying food! When you first squeeze it out, there's that scent, but it disappears completely when you apply it to your body. Since becoming pregnant, I've become sensitive to scents, getting headaches and nausea from even slight fragrances, but this oil doesn't seem artificial. Although the scent is a bit unique at first, don't worry as it disappears after application and absorption. Here's my beauty tip: Sometimes after showering, when you apply too much oil, emulsion, or cream for hydration, it can feel sticky, hot, and even make you sweat. In these cases, just go back to the bathroom and rinse lightly with water only. The stickiness will disappear while maintaining hydration. Especially in summer when you need to moisturize but feel uncomfortable due to stickiness, rinsing with cool water feels more refreshing... This tip might only apply to dry and sensitive skin types. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 13, 2021
I bought this oil because I was looking for something with simple ingredients due to my sensitive and dry skin. I'm also in my 9th month of pregnancy and have been using it for stretch mark prevention - so far, not a single stretch mark in sight! It leaves my skin feeling hydrated after application. I love that the dispenser is like a Heinz ketchup bottle, which prevents oil leakage and allows for clean, mess-free use. The absorption seems a bit slow. But I guess that's to be expected since it doesn't contain many additional ingredients. I'm using it with that in mind.
