I don't prioritize high coverage, so I was satisfied. Application: Applies thinly and evenly when used with proper technique. Glides on smoothly. Wear: Doesn't break down messily, but fades gracefully over time.
ConsAdherence: I prefer applying thinly, which I did, but it tends to pill if not set with powder. Longevity: While it's semi-matte and somewhat resistant to fading, after 4-5 hours out, it somehow seems to have disappeared. Emphasis on dead skin cells: Being semi-matte, it tends to accentuate flakiness quite noticeably. As I have dry skin, it felt dehydrating and slightly cakey. This being my first cushion purchase, I consider it a mismatch for my skin. Interestingly, it seemed to adhere well without caking initially, but at some point, it started to look a bit patchy.

Applying it with a puff dampened with toner keeps my skin moisturized and gives a semi-matte finish even in cold weather. The coverage is decent, and its staying power is impressive - I've never had to touch up during my part-time job shifts. It's truly a hard-working cushion!
ConsI wouldn't recommend this for those with dry skin. It tends to accentuate dead skin cells, so make sure to exfoliate well before application.
TipIf you find it too drying, try dampening the puff with toner or facial mist before use. This trick works wonders for added hydration!

It's not extremely matte, more of a semi-matte finish. However, if you have dry skin in winter and don't prep your skin well, it can feel drying. ❤️Skin appearance It really makes your skin look beautiful. As if you naturally have good skin? ❤️Coverage I found this product's coverage much better than the A*ope Cover Cushion. While the A*ope Cover Cushion required a lot of product for good coverage, the Merge cushion covers well with just a small amount. ❤️Color The color has a very pink base. I'm not too picky about yellow or pink undertones, but I find pink more flattering than an overly yellow tone. It brightens up the complexion. Keep in mind it's pink-based! ❤️Blemishes As I have sensitive skin, I was worried about breakouts, but I didn't experience any. ❤️Puff The puff is really good. Its teardrop shape allows for precise application in narrow areas like around the nose and under the eyes. It also releases product well. ❤️Wear-off It doesn't break down messily, it's more like it fades away? After some time, it just seems to disappear. ❤️Oxidation I didn't really notice much oxidation because it tends to fade away after a while. The parts that do remain don't darken significantly. I think the semi-matte formula helps with this. ❤️Adherence It really adheres well when you apply it. It just melds into the skin. -----------------(+January 12 update)---------------------- I changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars!! After using it for about a month, I'm even more satisfied than when I first tried it. • I still recommend it for dry skin types in summer, but I'd like to add that it can be used well in winter too if you prep your skin thoroughly! Just make sure to balance your skincare with a 6:4 oil to water ratio to avoid emphasizing dry patches. • Still no blemishes. That's why I'm still using it, haha. • The skin finish is so beautiful, and while it's high coverage, it doesn't feel heavy - that's why I added an extra star!! The skin appearance is really great. • The only downside, as I mentioned before, is the color... Please make a slightly lighter shade for those who use 13! • Another minor issue is that the cushion content dries out quickly. Since I don't use this cushion every day, it tends to dry out if not used regularly.... So it feels like there's less product. Despite these small issues, this is my top pick among the cushions I'm currently using. I'll definitely repurchase it.
Cons💔Amount control It's a bit tricky to control the amount on the puff... If you pick up even a little too much, it applies very thickly. 💔Emphasizes dead skin cells I'm not sure about oily or combination dehydrated skin, but for dry skin in winter, it can emphasize flakes around the nose or on blemishes. It's fine at first, but after some time, the dead skin cells become noticeable. I haven't tried it in summer, so I'm not sure about that. 💔Color I have fair skin between shades 13 and 11, but even the lightest shade is too dark for me. It says it's for light 21 to 13, but it's really more like 19~17... Merge!! Please make a lighter shade for us 13s!!! 💔Longevity While the coverage is really good, I can't say the same for its staying power. After about 4-5 hours, it starts to fade in patches, so you need to touch up. 💔Price It's a bit expensive to buy at full price. I'd recommend waiting for a sale.
TipThis cushion seems really suitable for combination dehydrated skin. Those with combination dehydrated skin could probably use this year-round!! Oily skin types should use it in winter, and dry skin types in summer!
