Personally, if you apply it all over your lips or layer it a few times, it can look too dark and heavy, so I'd recommend just using a little bit.

The lipstick I used had a lighter pinkish hue than I expected, but the bright and light color was perfect for just applying and going out! It also seemed to match my skin tone really well.
