Let's be honest, with high-end department store brands, product quality is a given. The high price point is the main issue. I think this would work best for normal to combination skin types rather than oily skin.

The scent reminds me a bit of my dad's vanity (not mom's) or perhaps an Amore Pacific door-to-door sales fragrance. I'm not a fragrance expert, so my description might be lacking.

I've tried both the Absolue Soft Cream and The Serum, and they both have incredibly unique textures. It's fascinating - you're applying it to your face, and suddenly, it just disappears. I was genuinely surprised, thinking, 'Where did it go?' The absorption and application are excellent, with a smooth, creamy texture.

Personally, comparing Sublimage, La Prairie, and Absolue, I found Absolue to have the best absorption and, crucially, it didn't cause any blemishes.

While I'm not sure if it improved my deep dryness (as I don't typically experience that), it did create a light, protective layer. I noticed a slight enhancement in my skin condition and complexion, leaving me with a positive impression.

I haven't tried the Rich version, but if the Soft is this good, I figured the new Light version wouldn't be worth considering. That's why I went ahead and purchased the Absolue Light Cream.
