Usually, oil-based essences don't absorb well, causing clumping and tangling, making my hair even frizzier, so I generally prefer emulsion formulas. However, this oil is an exception that I'm really enjoying! The formula is lightweight. It's transparent with a thin, flowing consistency. It spreads evenly through my hair, leaving no residue on my palms as it absorbs completely. With almost no viscosity, it's light enough to apply even on dry hair. It seems perfect for those with fine hair. It tames my waves beautifully. I apply two pumps to damp hair before blow-drying, and once dry, my hair is incredibly smooth. It detangles effortlessly, controls frizz well, and seems to be a great match for me. The scent is lovely. I'm quite sensitive to smells and often get headaches or nausea from artificial fruit scents or overpowering floral fragrances like car air fresheners. This oil has a subtle, pleasant argan scent that doesn't cause any discomfort. There's an almond image on the packaging, but I can't really detect that scent. While my hair can get frizzy due to its wavy texture, it's generally in good condition without split ends or damage. I use a hot blow dryer daily and often use a flat iron, but my hair hasn't suffered any damage while using this oil. While I can't speak to its ability to improve already damaged hair, I believe it's providing good heat protection. ConsThere are no downsides. I'm on my second bottle and loving it.
