First off, I love that it's free from harmful ingredients, so there's no worry about blemishes! The texture is smooth and it absorbs well into the skin - just pat it in like you're giving yourself a little massage. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I think if you adjust the amount based on your skin type, you'll see great results. Just be careful not to use too little, or it might feel a bit dry. Hmm... the downside is that the scent might be quite polarizing. I was surprised by the paint-like smell when applying, but you might get used to it. While I appreciate the high-quality ingredients, I'm concerned that the price point might make it difficult to compete with other brands. It could be expensive since it's newly launched... Everyone's skin is different, so adjust the amount in your final skincare step. If your skin feels a bit dry after masking, try applying a little more for a hydrated and fresh feeling. My skin condition was great the next day too! I hope you enjoy using it and achieve healthy skin! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinSep 3, 2019
As a member of The Hwahae Testers, here's my review: 1. The gel-like texture absorbs well into the skin, leaving a wonderfully moisturized feeling. It reminds me of an aloe vera gel cream, giving a strong sense of hydration replenishment. 2. I love that it doesn't dry out quickly - the moisturizing effect lasts long after application. It seems to balance the oil and moisture levels in the skin perfectly. 3. The ingredients are great, so I felt confident using it. I initially applied for the tester program because the ingredients looked promising. As someone with super sensitive skin dealing with both milia and dryness during this seasonal change, I didn't experience any worsening of symptoms, stinging, or irritation when applying. Interestingly, I usually can't use aloe vera gel creams as they cause burning and irritation, but I think this could be a great alternative! 1. The scent is a bit peculiar. I don't consider myself overly sensitive to smells, but at first, I thought it smelled like... urine! However, upon closer sniffing, it's more like a concentrated herbal or woody scent. It's definitely not a sharp or pungent smell that hurts your nose. It's just a subtle fragrance that might be an acquired taste. You do get used to it with continued use though! 2. Given its gel texture, it can be tricky to scoop out the cream. I was disappointed that it didn't come with a spatula. Having one would have made for a more hygienic application. 3. The container is quite heavy for its size. It's too small to decant for travel, but too heavy to carry around comfortably. If there was more product, decanting would make sense, but the current amount is in an awkward middle ground. It's a bit of a shame. For those with very dry skin, I highly recommend applying another oil-based cream after this one. This cream alone might not be enough to combat severe dryness. It seems best suited for combination dehydrated skin or those with combination skin. While it feels super hydrating upon application with a slight hint of richness afterwards, it may leave a tiny bit of stickiness if not fully absorbed. Make sure to pat it in well! This is a real gem for balancing oil and moisture levels in the skin! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 3, 2019
* First impression of the product: When I received the product and opened the lid, I was pleasantly surprised to see it was a green shade, which I personally love! The color alone gives off a healthy vibe, and the scent is somewhat herbal - like fresh grass, if you will. I applied it to the back of my hand, and it felt cool and smooth going on. After patting it in a few times, it absorbed quickly with a satisfying 'whoosh' feeling. My skin usually takes a while to absorb products, but this one sank in so fast without much effort. I was really impressed! * Feelings after 2 weeks of use: While my skin is sensitive, it doesn't usually show obvious signs. Recently, my sister has been experiencing more breakouts, so we decided to use this together. For me, I noticed my skin texture became more refined, and my dry skin felt much more hydrated. As for my sister, while the effects weren't dramatically overnight, we could clearly see that her acne and blackheads had visibly reduced compared to before using the product. We're both planning to use it until the very last drop! While it applies well and is good for sensitive skin... The fragrance, rather than being unscented, had a somewhat unpleasant smell to me that made it difficult to use... Those who are sensitive to scents might want to keep this in mind. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 2, 2019
✓ Real-life review after just 2 weeks of use!! 1. Absorbs quickly - just pat it gently and it's all absorbed, adhering to the skin 2. Not sticky - it clings to the skin without feeling tacky or oily 3. Moisturizing - when applied after cleansing, it eliminates tightness and leaves skin hydrated 4. Easy to use with a consistency between water and cream - not too runny • The scent might be divisive, but for me, it was a big no. It smells like burnt leaves or like randomly sniffing foliage in a park • No significant changes - skin texture improved, but after 2 weeks, I didn't feel my skin had notably improved • While it finishes with a moisturized feel, by morning it's an oil party again... seems unavoidable for oily skin I used it after cleansing, wiping with a pad, and applying toner. When really tired, I just applied this after cleansing and went to bed. Overall: Worth trying at least once! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSep 2, 2019
As a member of The Hwahae Testers, here's my review after using the product. As a makeup artist, I've evaluated it meticulously. For easy understanding, I've rated it out of 5 stars. What I loved most: The rich texture feels like it's filling your skin with hydration from within. While it might feel a bit sticky, it absorbs well and doesn't cause pilling when used before makeup. It helps your makeup base, primer, or foundation adhere perfectly. Soothing/Irritation Relief: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Storing it in the fridge and using it right before makeup cools the skin and provides ample soothing effects. It was great for calming the skin after exfoliation. It should be gentle enough even for those with super sensitive skin. Texture: ⭐⭐⭐ It has a thick, non-runny consistency that adheres to the skin with a bouncy texture, rather than spreading lightly like a water cream. Those who dislike sticky textures might want to avoid this. Recommended for: • Super sensitive skin • Those seeking a cream with good soothing effects • Those looking for a deeply hydrating cream Not recommended for: • Those who dislike sticky creams • Those who prioritize fragrance in their skincare Fragrance: ⭐⭐ The scent could be polarizing. It smells like natural ingredients rather than artificial fragrances. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend it to those who prioritize fragrance in their skincare. Even I needed some time to get used to it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 2, 2019
I have super sensitive skin that breaks out in blemishes at the slightest change in skincare or stress. Though I couldn't apply it as often as I'd like due to being busy and exhausted, I'll keep using it. The texture reminds me of Dr. G's moisturizer. The color is a bit unique, which made me go 'Hm?', and the scent might be divisive, but I don't mind it much. It absorbs quickly and feels hydrating, but leaves a slightly sticky feeling. I'm not a fan of stickiness, so I deducted a star. Due to the stickiness, I apply it moderately rather than generously. So far, I haven't had any breakouts, so I'll continue using it. My mom, who also has sensitive skin, tried it once and said it felt nice and moisturizing. It seems worth trying at least once. For now, I'm trusting the ingredients and giving it a go. I'm a bit disappointed with the slight stickiness. When there's residue, I worry it might attract dust to my face (just my personal thought and feeling). Also, I expect the scent might be polarizing. I haven't felt that deep hydration effect yet. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 2, 2019
The Hwahae Testers Review Scent: It's reminiscent of a Korean sauna or herbal medicine smell. While it's not particularly pleasant, I can use it comfortably knowing it's fragrance-free and likely good for my skin. Color: Green. Don't worry, it doesn't tint your skin green when applied. Texture: It's neither too thick nor extremely lightweight. (See photo for reference) Absorption: It absorbs well after spreading on your face and gently patting a few times. There's no feeling of it sitting on top of the skin. Feel: When applied, it gives your skin a slightly sticky rice cake texture. My skin has been dry due to medication, but even when I apply a non-hydrating serum, following up with this cream creates a moisture barrier that makes my skin feel firm and supple. If you typically find products sticky, you might find this one more plump than sticky! (Just my opinion!) It works even better when applied after hydrating with other serums or toners, boosting the overall moisturizing effect. Blemishes: Usually, when I feel a product is moisturizing, it often seems to clog my pores, and many such products have caused blemishes. However, this one provides hydration without causing any breakouts. There are no downsides! If I had to pick one, it would be the less-than-ideal scent. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSep 2, 2019
* Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin - Absorbs well into the skin. - Significantly improves deep dryness. - After morning cleansing, skin doesn't feel dry even without applying anything else. - Despite having sensitive skin prone to atopic dermatitis, it doesn't cause blemishes and actually helps soothe the skin. - As someone with a sensitive nose, the unique herbal scent made it difficult to apply initially. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSep 2, 2019
It absorbs incredibly fast. This would be great for oily skin types. I have combination skin, and while it's fine for my T-zone, I noticed my U-zone became quite dry within an hour of application. I used it like a mist. The absorbs well is excellent. As someone with blemishes-prone skin, I noticed it significantly reduced redness. I loved how lightweight it felt when applied before sleep. The scent is overwhelming... I can't even begin to describe it. Despite being a hydrating cream, it seems to lack sufficient moisture. My skin felt very dry after application. You need to apply multiple layers. The container is too heavy compared to the product amount, and it doesn't even look premium. When I applied it generously before bed, I noticed a reduction in redness the next morning. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 2, 2019
1. The ingredients are great, and as someone with sensitive skin that usually breaks out or gets itchy and red when using incompatible products, I didn't experience any of those issues. My skin felt comfortable throughout use. 2. The texture is like a hydrating gel cream, feeling more water-based than oily. It applies lightly but has a more substantial feel than a typical soothing gel - it's got a nice, bouncy texture. 3. There's a slight stickiness right after application, but it absorbs quickly. Once it settles, there's no stickiness at all, leaving skin smooth and velvety. 4. With brightening and calming ingredients high up in the ingredient list, I noticed my skin looked a bit brighter the morning after using it. This would be great for sensitive, oily, or combination skin types looking for soothing and brightening effects. 1. While it provides a good balance of oil and moisture with a light hydrating layer, it doesn't leave a dewy finish. It's more of a lightweight hydration that's great for oily skin types in terms of ingredients, texture, and application. However, it might be a bit drying for those with dry skin - they might prefer it as a summer moisturizer rather than for winter use. 2. The lack of fragrance means the natural scent of the ingredients is quite strong, which might be off-putting for some. 3. The container makes it difficult to control the amount dispensed and might not be the most hygienic. A tube packaging would be a welcome improvement. If you find this product alone isn't quite enough hydration, try mixing in a drop or two of face oil, or apply a face oil as a final step, pressing it gently into the skin to seal in moisture. This way, even those with dry skin or those in harsh winter conditions can use this product without feeling dry.
