It's a bit high-maintenance as you absolutely need a brush for application, and if you're not skilled with brushes, you'll also need a puff to smooth out any brush strokes. The multiple steps required can be a drawback.

Despite being a stick foundation, when blended well with a brush, it applies smoothly without settling into pores or fine lines, and has impressive staying power. Unlike most stick foundations that cater to oily skin, this one doesn't feel overly drying. The fixing power is so good that you might not even need to use a separate powder!

The easiest and quickest way to apply with the best adherence is to draw a line or two on your face or dot it, then blend with a puff. Try using it together with the Veil Primer for best results.

Choosing the right shade can be a bit challenging, and satisfaction might decrease without the Veil Primer.

I found a foundation that's slightly brighter and more natural than my shade 21 skin, and Shell Color was the perfect match. When applied thinly after using the same brand's Veil Primer, it barely transfers to my mask. Being a stick foundation, it provides good coverage even with a thin layer. For me, this is truly a holy grail foundation.

Choosing the right shade is tricky. Even the warm ivory seems really dark.

It's slightly darker than shade 23, more than I expected...

But the coverage is absolutely amazing!

For someone with very dry skin like me, the stick's edges can be visible and it applies a bit heavily. You need to pat it in quite a bit.

I received this as a gift and I'm using it now. Being a vegan product, I feel confident using it. The stick format seems great for covering blemishes. It's also definitely good for evening out my complexion.

I carry it around for touch-ups and I'm using a cushion puff instead of a brush to apply it!

Unfortunately, as I have oily skin, this product doesn't seem to suit me. While it covers well and applies nicely, after application it feels heavy and greasy. I absolutely avoid using it when I need my makeup to last long. I end up using it only for touch-ups rather than as a morning base.

The coverage is probably in the top 3 for me. Since it's a stick, it applies smoothly. It's perfect for touch-ups when you're out and about.

It's quite expensive.
As it absorbs so well, it does get used up quickly.
While the coverage is high, the amount that comes out in one swipe can make it easy to apply too thickly.
If you're applying directly with the stick, it's better to dab it on and then blend, rather than swiping, to avoid clumping.
Personally, I prefer applying foundation to a sponge and then patting it onto my face.

It's a perfect match for my 21-23 skin tone, with a neutral undertone.
