So I tried this product! It's been 3 months since I dyed it, and at first, it was an extremely dark black with a blue tint. After about a month, the color naturally faded, and now it's a very natural black to brown shade. Since it's black, there's no worry about uneven coloring, so it seems like it would be easy to do at home. Because it's black and the dye transfers easily, you need to be careful about staining your skin and bathroom. The color seems to keep washing out for a whole month! Especially for the first week, I had to keep using the same towel that was stained black because it kept getting dirty. After 2 weeks, it fades very slightly - so slightly you might think it's just your imagination. And as you can see in the photo, now it looks a bit patchy in bright light. I originally dyed my hair 3 times (light color, then a slightly darker brown the next day because I didn't like it, then Hello Bubble), and with this additional dye, my hair was already quite damaged. I'm not sure if it's because of this product, but my hair condition got noticeably worse after using it. For about 2 weeks after dyeing, you need to completely dry your hair before putting on clothes or lying on a pillow! I recommend this if you want to achieve a really dark black color. But be prepared to deal with an artificial, wig-like appearance for a while.

While it's not quite blue-black, it's pretty close - in my opinion, it's an incredibly vibrant black that really pops. Think of it as a black shade somewhere between mud brown and blue-black. Pudding hair dye is famous for a reason - it's almost impossible to mess up and the color payoff is excellent. Due to its drawbacks, I've sworn off Pudding hair dye for black coloring. First off, the color fades way too quickly. I'd only recommend Pudding dye to those who frequently change their hair color without worrying about hair damage. And speaking of damage, it really does a number on your hair - it's not gentler at all. The vibrant color payoff is a trademark of Pudding dye. Make sure to use scalp protection and take extra care of your hair afterwards. And whatever you do, don't use Pudding for black dye. The color stained my skin for two weeks - I couldn't undress in public without feeling mortified. It also stains clothes, so wear something you're willing to throw away. I ended up with spotty stains all over my body, reminiscent of old-fashioned eyebrow tattoos. Doesn't it usually fade within a week for most people? In my case, even my hands were completely stained for two whole weeks!
