I initially thought it was slightly heavier than typical acne toners, but it absorbs incredibly fast. Consistently applying two or three layers before bed really helps calm blemishes. It's great in every aspect except for a bit of pilling when applied before makeup. - ju**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 9, 2023
As someone with super sensitive skin, most products give me blemishes, but this one doesn't cause any at all It feels quite drying, so in seasons other than summer, you'll need additional products besides this set - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 24, 2023
It's nice and clean. There's no real stickiness to speak of. It works better when you apply it multiple times. As you can see, the price point is a bit high, which is unfortunate. But it's not bad overall. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 8, 2023
I absolutely love this! It works wonders for my skin. Maybe it's because it suits my skin type, but when I apply it, my skin texture really improves and my blemishes clear up. It's seriously amazing. Totally worth it! There's not much to dislike, but if I had to say something, the scent isn't great. Also, the price point is a bit too high... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 2, 2022
My blemishes have improved a lot, and it seems to have a calming effect. The scent is also pleasant, which I like. For those with dry skin, this might be too drying. A few minutes after application, my skin feels parched... Use this toner along with the cleanser, serum, and cream from the same line for best results. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 6, 2022
After using it for over 4 months, all my tiny blemishes completely disappeared. I used to have severe acne on my forehead, temples, and cheekbones, but now there's no trace of it. Some might find it drying, but for me, that was actually a plus. Instead of applying it just once, it works best when you layer it three or four times. I tend to skip creams, but I've found that just consistently applying toner and serum seems to help improve my complexion. - mi*******Oily SkinAcne SkinApr 12, 2022
I love how moisturizing it is. Being a type you dispense into your hand, I personally found it better than spray versions. There's a slight stickiness and scent to it. It feels a bit sticky right after application, but that goes away if you pat it in a few times. Still, it's a bit disappointing. - pe*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedFeb 6, 2022
I noticed there weren't many positive reviews on Hwahae, but I personally love this product so much that I'm posting my own review. I've heard that using cotton pads to apply toner too often isn't great for exfoliation, especially for those prone to redness like me. So I prefer patting it in with my hands. Alternatively, soaking a cotton pad and leaving it on works well, but I don't do that often. I enjoy layering and patting the product in, which requires a non-sticky toner. The Acwell Calming Toner absorbs beautifully without any stickiness. It has a fresh, pleasant scent that doesn't feel artificial. Since I started using this, my complexion has improved and become clearer. Some might say it lacks hydration if used alone, but I never just use toner by itself. I understand toner's role is to remove dead skin cells and prep the skin. Personally, I find overly hydrating toners can cause makeup to pill or feel uncomfortably sticky. I'll definitely keep using this product. I tried the Etude Soon Jung line after YouTube recommendations, but it was too watery and left a sticky residue. Mondies was also disappointing despite claims of being gentle. It seems different products work for different people. I didn't find any downsides. There was no irritation or tingling sensation when applied. Try patting it in with your hands, layering it two or three times. Always pat it in - that's crucial! Follow up with a moisturizer and you're done! In my opinion, if you choose a good moisturizer, the Acwell Calming Toner can become your holy grail toner. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAug 1, 2021
I loved how quickly it absorbs! The scent was also pleasant, without feeling too artificial. Compared to other toners at this price point, I'm not sure what makes this one particularly stand out. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 30, 2021
It seemed to work well for removing dead skin cells, giving a nice exfoliating effect. After using it, my skin feels quite dry, so I end up applying a lot of hydrating products.
