Since the color is so intense, you can achieve a really pretty look by applying just a touch to the inner part of your lips and blending it out with your fingers for a gradient effect. Actually, it looks even prettier and more like the trendy popsicle lip look if you apply a clear lip balm first and then layer this on top!

As I mentioned earlier, it's quite pigmented - maybe a bit too much. The bright red color might be hard to pull off, and it could be a bit much for everyday, casual wear.

This product's color payoff is absolutely amazing! I have to give credit where it's due - the pigmentation is truly impressive. The colors come out so vibrant and clear! Actually, I received this as a gift, and the person who gave it to me said it was a lip balm. So I applied it thinking it was a tinted lip balm, but was shocked by how intense it was! I kept using it thinking it was a lip balm until I looked it up and realized it's actually a lip crayon. Seems like there was a mix-up, but I'm not complaining! As a student who doesn't wear much makeup, I find it perfect for applying a clear lip balm and then lightly gradient this on the inner part of my lips for a pretty look.

If you find it too drying, or if you want to use it more like a light tinted lip balm, try applying a regular lip balm first and then layer this product on top.

It seems suitable for all skin types. However, there are a few ingredients to be cautious of, so those with super sensitive skin might need to be careful. It didn't cause any blemishes on my lips and worked fine for me.

It absorbs well and has a matte finish, but doesn't feel overly drying. The color is not too intense when applied to bare lips, giving just the right amount of pretty pigmentation.

I think applying a hydrating lip balm before using a lip crayon would help keep your lips moisturized.

Lip balms are supposed to keep your lips moisturized, but this one didn't give me the feeling of protecting my lips, which was disappointing.

Although it's a lip balm, it has a decent color payoff and the pigmentation isn't bad, which I found quite nice.

If you have dead skin cells on your lips, I recommend applying some Vaseline or lip balm before using this product.

The lid is designed too delicately. It opens with the slightest pressure, smearing the product all over my bag. Thanks to this, the inside of my Bottega Cassette bag is a mess. I've been using this bag for almost two years and this has never happened before. Even when I just put it in my pocket, the lid opens. I mean, I can carry around a Bobbi Brown lip balm without issues, but do I need to treat this under-$10 product like a precious artifact at home? It ended up in the trash.
