It has a lightweight feel and is gentle, which I really like. For someone like me with seborrheic dermatitis and folliculitis that flares up every season change, this is one of the few products I can use without itching. However, if you're expecting any specific skincare benefits, you might be disappointed. I used to use the cream version, but switched to this emulsion as the weather got warmer. For those with dry skin, you might find this alone isn't quite hydrating enough. The lightweight texture can be both a pro and a con. If you have dry skin, you'll probably need to layer a serum or ampoule underneath, or follow up with a cream for extra hydration. - lg*****Dry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 14, 2025
The way it absorbs is truly fantastic. It seems to sink into the skin almost instantly. The only downside? It's a bit pricey. If it weren't so expensive, I'd definitely buy it more often to use regularly. - jh**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 4, 2025
I accidentally bought the emulsion instead of the cream, but it turned out to be perfect for summer! Since I was already a fan of the cream, I ended up loving the emulsion too. It has a softer, more fluid texture that's still incredibly hydrating. In spring and summer, I find that using just the emulsion keeps my skin moisturized without needing the cream. The price per volume is a bit steep... The ingredients are great and it works so well for my skin that I buy it often, but I can't afford to stock up. I always wait for sales. The effects are fantastic, but the cost is a drawback. If you're looking for more intense hydration, try the cream. Otherwise, the emulsion is a great option! - pi***Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 3, 2025
For an emulsion, it has a slightly thicker consistency, but it's incredibly gentle and mild. The absorbs so well, seamlessly melting into the skin and leaving it feeling wonderfully hydrated. I love how it finishes clean without any sticky residue. It's free from artificial fragrances and contains Finnish birch leaf extract, which might be why it feels so soothing and calming for sensitive skin, without any irritation. It's not really a downside, but as someone with extremely dry skin, I think a cream might provide better hydration for me in winter. However, this product should work well for spring, summer, and fall. - dl**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRecommendedApr 2, 2025
During seasonal changes like now, when skin easily becomes sensitive, this product is great to use. I bought it after hearing it's gentle enough for both adults and children. Looking at the ingredients, it contains birch leaf extract and even ceramide, cholesterol, and glycerin. It's also formulated with a pH of 5.5, similar to human skin, so it applies smoothly without irritation. As an emulsion, it might not be moisturizing enough for dry skin types, but for combination and oily skin like mine, it's perfect right now. There wasn't anything particularly disappointing, except maybe the high price. - el*******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 24, 2025
I highly recommend this gentle hydrating emulsion for families looking for a product everyone can use together. The ingredients are mild and it's free from artificial fragrances, which is a big plus! Instead of using purified water like most products, this one contains birch leaf extract as its base. It also includes glycerin, beeswax, squalane, and jojoba oil, which should be great for dry skin. The texture is smooth with a moisture-rich emulsion formula. It spreads easily, absorbs well, and has excellent application. There's no stickiness, leaving a clean feel that's suitable for use year-round. For those with extremely dry skin, mixing in a bit of oil could work wonders. This emulsion works hard to provide hydration without irritation, making it perfect for those with super sensitive skin. It's great for layering in your daily skincare routine, helping to balance oil and moisture while giving you that coveted Inner Glow! The price is a bit steep, so it might be best to purchase during a sale. While it's available at Olive Young, it's unfortunately shipped directly from the supplier. This means you can't combine shipping with other Olive Young items, which is a bit inconvenient. - eh*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 24, 2025
I tried this gentle emulsion because it's said to be mild enough for babies, but being gentle is its only advantage. There's no dramatic improvement or deterioration in skin condition, so it's just... average. It's a basic product that doesn't stand out in any particular way. - io*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 19, 2025
As someone with super sensitive skin, I've tried various products over the years, but I've been exclusively using this one for the past few years. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. The texture is smooth and pleasant to use. - re*********Combination SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJan 12, 2025
My baby has been using this since birth, and we've been using it for years without any blemishes. It's always been expensive, so we've had to use it sparingly. I'm glad Hwahae has it on sale. - dm******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 28, 2024
I've been struggling with contact dermatitis (as an adult) for years, but this product has great ingredients. It's packed with hydration, leaving my skin moisturized and noticeably improved! There's nothing bad to say. It's full of hydration without feeling greasy, has excellent ingredients, and there's really nothing to complain about.
