When I tested this product, I was amazed at how well it showed up. The color payoff is great whether applied with fingers or a brush - just a few touches and the true color appears! MAC really is the go-to for color cosmetics. Adherence (no excess powder): I'm always particular about pigmentation, adherence, and powder fallout when using eyeshadows. This product passed with flying colors in all aspects! There was virtually no fallout whether I applied it with my fingers or a brush. With powdery products, you can usually see the powder flying off when you sweep the brush across your eyelids, and it even gets on your lashes. But this product adhered beautifully to the skin while maintaining its color intensity.
ConsThe only downside wasn't with the product itself, but just that the shade didn't suit me personally. Everything else was great!
TipI personally dislike reviews with heavily filtered photos that misrepresent the actual colors. We've all been deceived by swatches that looked different in person! I carefully edited each photo to show the eyeshadow's true color and how it appears when applied. The result is very close to reality, so you can use this as a reference. I usually prefer natural makeup and don't do heavy eye looks, but I put extra effort into my eye makeup to show you the accurate color payoff. I used MAC's Coral Matte as a base color, for your reference. Personally, I'd recommend this shade for those with deep undertones. I have a cool summer complexion with defined features, and the more makeup I apply, the more unnatural I look. Orange tones especially tend to make me appear flushed compared to others. So instead of applying this shadow all over my lids, I use it lightly in the under-eye triangle area. It creates a pretty eye look without being too overwhelming.
