It's so hydrating that when applied as the first step in skincare, it creates a perfect base for makeup and works wonders The ingredients and price point are a bit disappointing. Without a sale, it's quite expensive - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 20, 2024
I tried this sample and wow, it makes my skin feel so hydrated! It's like it preps my skin perfectly for makeup. There's no oily residue, it's just right. I think it would suit any skin type. I've also used other Jung Saem Mool products (like their sun protection and water cream) and they work together like a dream. If you've struggled with makeup not staying put, I highly recommend trying a few Jung Saem Mool products! There weren't any major downsides, but as with all Jung Saem Mool products, the price is a bit steep. It has a subtle herbal scent, which I think even those with sensitive noses could tolerate. It's quite mild. For best results, apply this, then any emulsion, followed by a water cream. Your makeup won't budge - it's a perfect combination! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedNov 30, 2023
Love that it's a vegan product. The Jung Saem Mool store staff are always so helpful and friendly. Haven't seen immediate results yet. Might need to apply it for a bit longer to see the effects. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 2, 2022
I'm using this as a skin pack and it's perfect for that purpose due to its viscosity. After use, I can really feel how much more hydrated my skin becomes. Compared to other toners, I think the quantity is a bit low for the price. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedOct 15, 2021
Compared to other toners, this one has more hydration and a richer texture, making it perfect for dry skin! I've gone through about three bottles. Nothing particularly bad. Just keep in mind that since it's not an exfoliating toner, you need to make sure your hands are clean when applying it. - dl********Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessAug 10, 2020
I didn't use this for regular skincare. After checking the ingredients list, I noticed it contains PEG, which doesn't suit me, and phenoxyethanol, which is one of the 20 ingredients to be cautious about. Thinking it might be quite irritating for skincare, I only tried it before applying makeup. First off, it was moisturizing. Since it's designed as a pre-makeup toner, it really helped with evening out skin texture. It also seemed to help with dead skin cells, at least that was the feeling I got. Still, it's just a toner, so I didn't expect a lot of hydration. When I applied a water-based cream or essence on top, it seemed to create a much better canvas for makeup application. It didn't cause any blemishes. However, after using only gentle toners, this product caused some redness on my cheeks and around my nose. I stopped using it after a few tries. I won't be repurchasing. I'll stick to gentler toners, thank you. It contains PEG and phenoxyethanol. There's also a fragrance ingredient called glyoxal, which is considered high-risk even at 0.01%, which makes me a bit uncomfortable. Consumers these days are smart about ingredient lists, so I wish they'd refrain from using such ingredients. - tp**Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 20, 2020
It felt refreshing and light, but not just like water. I liked that it left my skin slightly moisturized. While Jung Saem Mool's skincare products don't have the best ingredients, they didn't cause any blemishes for me. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 26, 2019
I bought this product along with a water cream. I'm using it as a cleansing toner. The fragrance is absolutely delightful. I didn't find any particular drawbacks. Since I use it as a cleansing toner, I go through it quickly. It would be great if they offered a larger size. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 15, 2019
It feels moisturizing and absorbs well into the skin. The scent is just my style and I love it! I don't think there's anything particularly disappointing about it! I didn't experience any blemishes on my face! You can get it at an incredibly low price if you buy it duty-free! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedNov 15, 2019
✓ Hydration This product feels incredibly moisturizing and hydrating, making it perfect for my dry skin. ✓ Texture The consistency is like water but with a bit more substance - imagine something between water and a slightly thicker liquid. ✓ Moisturizing power It's so hydrating that you could almost get away with using just this toner. The moisturizing effectiveness is impressive. Packaging The bottle is extremely heavy. While there might be a reason for this, it's unusually weighty for a toner. Absorption Although it's hydrating, it takes a long time to absorb. This can be inconvenient, especially during morning skincare routines when you're pressed for time. It's better suited for nighttime use. Personally, I prefer lighter toners for the morning. User experience This could be seen as either a pro or a con, depending on personal preference. The texture is a bit heavy and feels like it's applying thickly on the skin. If you're not a fan of this sensation, you might want to skip this product.
