It's not that the moisturizing effect is weak, per se. It's more that the formula dries faster than thicker, more viscous products. But I really, really don't want it to become more viscous.

This photo was taken after I applied this lip essence to my bare lips. Please take a look at the glossy finish. The reason is that I usually use lip essences or lip serums instead of lip glosses. My skin and lips tend to get very dry, so even the most beautiful syrup-like tints start to flake off in about an hour, causing a mess. So I always layer a lip serum or something similar on top.

I've tried quite a few similar lip care products when doing my makeup, but none of them have the same glossy, non-sticky finish as this one... Of course, this only applies to products made with gentle ingredients. If there are pore-clogging or slightly harsh ingredients, the product can sometimes migrate to the area around my lips, causing irritation. But this product is not like that at all! It doesn't slide off and stays in place. I've never had any issues with it causing breakouts.

The best things about this product are the glossy finish and the texture. The glossiness has a plumping effect, but it doesn't feel sticky or like it's pulling my hair. The smooth, gliding application is very comfortable to wear.
