I picked this up at Olive Young and gave it a try. The color is like a mix of 6.5 parts black and 3.5 parts brown - a deep, rich shade with a subtle brown undertone. What I really appreciate about this brush pen eyeliner is its consistency. Some liners start off bold but end up watery as you use them. This one, however, maintains a crisp, clear line from start to finish. The staying power isn't bad either. When it comes to removal, though, it's not perfect. The line tends to fade unevenly, disappearing in the middle while leaving some residue around the eyes. With so many great products available these days, I find myself reaching for this one less and less. If you're looking for a reliable eyeliner with a unique color, this might be worth trying. However, keep in mind that there are newer formulations on the market that might offer better overall performance, especially in terms of easy and clean removal. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 16, 2025
I tried drawing just the outer corners of my eyes on my bare face, and the color payoff is good and it sets quickly! I prefer film-type eyeliners that fall off relatively cleanly rather than getting messy and smudged, so I'm satisfied with this. The color is a dark brown, so it's vivid but not as artificial-looking as black would be!! ๐ค๐๐ป However, as my eye area is somewhat oily, the long-lasting power was slightly diminished. It seems that applying an eye powder would be beneficial, as there was some smudging under my eyes. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 10, 2025
The color is versatile and easy to use. Being a black-brown shade, it looks very natural! I can easily adjust the thickness when extending the line at the outer corners of my eyes. It's become part of my daily makeup routine. I expected the staying power of Superproof, but due to my dry eyes, it tends to smudge when I tear up or when it's windy. I need to carry it with me and touch up throughout the day. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 4, 2024
The reassuring name 'Black Brown' When black feels too intense and brown seems dull The comfort that Black Brown provides Well, it's pleasant to use and quite decent, so I can't really think of any particular drawbacks... - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSep 12, 2024
I don't usually wear makeup, but I felt the need and decided to buy this. Since I'm not experienced with makeup, I found the brush pen to be more convenient. - The brush pen's signature advantage of creating fine tail ends works well. - Surprisingly, even if you make a mistake, which can be tricky to fix with other products, you can easily wipe it off with a tissue or your finger without smudging. - The color is true to its name - it's black with a hint of brown. It looks black when applied to the eyes, but when you wipe it off or swatch it on the back of your hand, you can see the brown undertone. - I once had an eyeliner dry out because I didn't close the cap properly, but this product still worked well even when I initially closed it incorrectly. However, after making the same mistake twice, it did dry out. As you can see in the last photo, while the dried product has loosened up, it barely comes out now. - While the brush pen is great for creating fine lines, it's a bit challenging to fill in the waterline. - Whether it's because I sweat a lot or due to my lack of makeup skills, it tends to smudge easily. Oh dear, I end up looking less like a panda and more like a panda's mother! It's quite embarrassing. Make sure to close the cap tightly! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 8, 2024
It seems to apply thinly and smoothly. The color is black-brown, which should create a natural look. If there's no excess powder fallout or smudging, it could be perfect, especially considering the affordable price. The quantity seems a bit small, so it might run out quickly. Other than that, I don't see any particular drawbacks. It's important to thoroughly remove any excess oil before application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 1, 2024
There's not much to praise about this product. Perhaps the only positive is that the black-brown shade isn't too intense? I didn't enjoy using this at all. It's not to my liking. It seems to smudge quite easily. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinMar 27, 2024
The thin and precise tip allows for delicate line drawing, and the dark brown shade is perfect - not too harsh, but universally flattering on everyone. I found the staying power to be a bit disappointing. It doesn't seem to last as long as Kiss Me, but Kiss Me's brush tip tends to split. Still, I'm satisfied with this level of performance. - Hwahae UserOily SkinDec 30, 2023
The luxurious black-brown color is fantastic. It applies smoothly and doesn't seem to smudge easily. I'm quite satisfied with it. There's nothing I'm disappointed with. I'm just looking forward to seeing even more sophisticated color upgrades in the future. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinOct 14, 2023
I opted for black-brown instead of pure black as it felt less intense, and I'm pleased with the subtle color. The pen-style applicator makes it easy to draw. It hasn't been long since I started using it, but it often dries up and doesn't dispense product well. The pigmentation is poor and it smudges off extremely easily. Since it comes off so easily, I recommend using this eyeliner to draw a guide line, then applying a more long-lasting eyeliner over it.
