As with all retinol products, if you're hoping for more dramatic wrinkle-reducing effects and apply too much, you could end up with serious side effects. Since you can't just slather on a large amount, it seems you can only expect gradual, subtle results.

This serum has a rich texture. It's worth using as I believe it's effective. While it won't make wrinkles disappear, it's helpful to think of it as providing a slight improvement in skin elasticity. It seems to work well when combined with a hydrating serum and a barrier cream.

My first retinol product was from Dr. Different, and when I ran out, I grabbed this one from iHerb during a sale for just over $10. However, the retinol concentration might be a bit high, as it occasionally felt irritating, so I had to pause usage sometimes, which made it last longer. I'm not sure how to accurately determine retinol concentrations in products on the market... Also, once I noticed irritation, I started applying moisturizer first, but apparently, retinol products work best when applied directly to the skin. My current retinol routine involves applying it right after toner and finishing with a cream. If possible, I recommend using retinol products before creams or emulsions.

It's not the 1980s anymore, but this has such a strong scent you wouldn't even find in products for older women. While it's called a serum, it's actually quite thick for a serum. It's more like an emulsion or cream in terms of consistency. I felt I needed to apply it almost immediately after cleansing to maximize the retinol benefits, so I used it right after toner. However, due to its cream-like texture, it threw off my skincare routine a bit. The color of the product matches the container exactly - a dull gold shade. It seems to have some fine shimmer mixed in. I wish I could at least say it visibly reduced my wrinkles, but I couldn't even use half the bottle before giving up and passing it on to my mom. The one good thing is the packaging! It comes in an opaque container with a pump to prevent the retinol from breaking down.

I only use it in the evening. Try to let your skin adapt gradually. You need to use a full pump to see effects. I use one pump for half of my face. That's the amount needed for it to work. It takes time to get your skin accustomed to it at first.

There are too many questionable ingredients in this. I wish they could make it without those. The amount is also too small... I wish Korean brands would make something like this. It would be great if it were a bit cheaper too. Also, I'm not sure if it's a trade secret, but there's no indication of the retinol percentage, which can be confusing and difficult for first-time users to figure out the right amount. So beginners need to start with small amounts and gradually increase. I used to use a 1.1% before, but switched directly to this. At first, it was quite irritating. It took about 1.5 to 2 months to fully adjust. I use one or two pumps per application. That's the amount needed to see results.

My wrinkles have significantly reduced and my skin feels smoother. Fine lines have all disappeared. I'm not sure about deep wrinkles as I didn't have many to begin with. When applied, there's a slight tingling sensation? Like a thin layer is being peeled off? A bit of a burning sensation? That's how it feels. I think that's a sign it's working. Products that don't work usually don't give this sensation and just make your skin feel tight.
