As someone who absolutely adores Lush, I can say that American Cream perfume is likely to be a crowd-pleaser for those who love vanilla, musk, and powdery scents. The fragrance is like vanilla with a hint of strawberry. While I believe perfumes are genderless and anyone can wear what they like, if I had to choose, I'd say this scent might be particularly charming on women. It's a lovely, romantic aroma that's not too light, and seems more suited for spring through winter rather than summer. In my opinion, it's one of the best Lush perfumes for beginners to try. The scent doesn't last incredibly long. At first, I thought it might become my favorite Lush fragrance, but over time, I found myself getting a bit tired of it. Nevertheless, I still use it regularly. While many of you might already know this, there's a tip that applying vaseline over your perfume can help the scent last longer. I do this when I want to extend the wear time. Also, remember never to rub the perfume after spraying it on! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinNov 13, 2020
The scent is truly happiness-inducing... It's so delightfully soft and feminine, which I love since I'm not a fan of overpowering fragrances from Lush. It has a sweet vanilla essence with a hint of berry milk. While some people criticize the packaging, I find it adorably compact and simple - just my style! I adore all Lush perfumes and wish I could collect them all. Initially, there's a powdery note that dominates, which I enjoy, though I've heard others say it's strongly reminiscent of baby powder. The lingering scent is even better, with vanilla notes that remain beautifully without being overwhelming. Lush is absolutely top-notch! As always with Lush, the price point is a bit disappointing. I've heard it's much cheaper to buy directly from overseas, but since testing the fragrance is crucial, it might be better to purchase in-store. Also, the berry scent isn't very prominent. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSep 25, 2020
As the weather gets cooler, I was craving a sweet vanilla scent. I was torn between Vanillary and this one, but ultimately chose American Cream. I heard Vanillary was extremely sweet and rich, while American Cream was described as sweet but lighter. Some reviews mentioned it smells like Barbie doll hair, which I can now understand after trying it. When I only read blog reviews, I couldn't quite imagine the scent, but to my nose, it's like baby powder. It has an incredibly soft, dry powdery scent. The name might make you think of that stereotypical 'American smell', but it's not that foreign. It's a familiar scent that you've probably encountered before. The powdery scent is overwhelmingly dominant. It's not bad, but I'm a bit disappointed that the vanilla notes I was expecting aren't more prominent. As it dries down to the base notes, it reminds me of Chanel No. 5. If you like No. 5, you should definitely try this - it's much more affordable and has great longevity!
