I bought this on a whim at Trader Joe's and was pleasantly surprised. Here's my honest review: Overall: I thought it was just a basic supermarket cream, but why is it actually decent? Though the size is a bit much... My skin type: Combination dehydrated (very dry U-zone), problem skin prone to rashes due to atopy. Doesn't react well to shea butter, propolis, or coconut-derived ingredients. Recommended for: Oily, combination dehydrated, and dry skin types. Those with extremely dry skin may find it lacking. For others, it offers decent hydration and a pleasant feel. Scent & Texture: There's a faint, classic cosmetic scent that isn't bothersome, even for those sensitive to fragrances. The texture is closer to a soothing gel than a typical moisturizer - imagine a slightly runny, bouncy gel. Application/Absorption: ⭐️⭐️ It spreads easily but absorbs a bit slowly for a gel-like texture. You'll need to pat it in thoroughly. Once absorbed, it feels fresh and hydrating, but leaves a peculiar slippery feeling. Layering isn't easy - applying twice can cause pilling. I recommend applying generously in one go. Absolutely avoid reapplying before makeup! Hydration/Lasting Power: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This really impressed me. It's incredibly hydrating and long-lasting. Usually, I need to seal in water-based creams with an oil-based one, but not with this. After my toner and serum steps, I apply this generously before bed. While it doesn't retain moisture quite as well as when sealed with an occlusive cream, my skin still feels smooth and supple in the morning. I'm shocked at how well it performs for the price! If a big-name brand released this, it would probably be marketed with much fancier language. I'd recommend trying this to anyone without preconceptions! Irritation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It feels gentle like a soothing gel. I was initially concerned about the cooling effect when first applied, but it actually helps reduce heat in the skin without causing any reactions. Size: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I've had this for over 7 months... Unbelievable, right? It's much larger than it appears! I'm desperate to finish it... Price: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Considering the purchase location (Trader Joe's) and the incredibly low price, I thought it was just a generic supermarket cream. It's almost too cheap and too large - makes you wonder if it's necessary!
ConsFeel/Pilling: ⭐️⭐️ A minor issue, but the slippery feeling right after application isn't great. As mentioned earlier, if you try to layer it twice, it pills like dead skin. The texture isn't suitable for morning use if you wear makeup, so I'd recommend it as a cost-effective night cream for those who want to apply generously. Packaging: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The large size is both a pro and a con. Since you'll be using it for a long time, the jar format raises hygiene concerns. It doesn't come with a spatula, so I'd advise getting one separately for cleaner use.
TipUse a lot at once! Slather it on your face and body generously! If you want to escape from it like me, you'll need to scoop it out with your palm. While it's an incredibly cost-effective product for some, it might not be ideal for those like me who crave variety in their skincare routine. If you've already purchased it and feel the same way, try to use it up quickly... (though it'll still probably last 5 months!)

The generous volume allows for ample use over an extended period. 2. As someone who prefers fragrance-free cosmetics, I appreciated its virtually scentless nature, aside from a subtle product aroma. 3. Applying a thick layer before bed eliminates the need for an overnight mask.
ConsThe texture is sticky yet slippery - a sensation I truly dislike. Unfortunately, this feeling lingers for quite some time.
TipPlease dispense only what you need to avoid contamination. I transfer small amounts into a separate container for use. Storing it in the refrigerator helps reduce puffiness and gives it an aloe gel-like cooling effect.

You can slather it on generously on your face or body and still have plenty left. 2. Considering it's a large-volume hydrating cream, it's incredibly gentle on the skin. 3. When applied to the body after showering, it kept my skin moisturized for quite a long time.
Cons1. Absorption is slow. Patting helps it absorb faster, but for those with sensitive skin, this might actually irritate the skin, so I'd recommend a lighter cream instead. 2. It leaves a film-like feeling on the body. The slippery, moisturized sensation lasts for a while. 3. It quickly becomes greasy when applied to the face. I'd suggest a different cream for those with oily skin.
TipUse it on your body rather than your face...
