I loved how it felt like it was tightening my pores too.
ConsIf you leave the mask on for more than 10 minutes without washing it off, it hardens and becomes difficult to remove. The scent is quite strong, which can cause a slight tingling sensation in your eyes when applying.

ConsAs the mask dried and hardened, I felt my skin becoming tight and dry. Sometimes it even felt painful and uncomfortable
TipWith regular use, this product definitely shrinks pores. Even after just 1-2 applications, you can feel a subtle difference in pore size. Consistency is key for best results

This might be perfect for those with oily skin...
ConsI used this for the pores around my nose, but I wouldn't recommend it for dry or sensitive skin. It dries out the skin completely, causes redness after use, and creates blemishes with a rough texture. The scent was so strong it made my eyes sting as soon as I applied it.

It seems like a good value for money for an elementary school student to purchase... The price is quite affordable.
ConsAs soon as I applied it to my face, my eyes started stinging... It dried much faster than other wash-off products I've used before, so I rinsed it off immediately... but small red spots appeared. Even after cleansing, there's still a burning sensation on my skin.

Still have some left. Would I repurchase?: Not sure. There are so many good masks these days... I might try something else. Highlights: 1. Good quantity for the price A mask under $10 when on sale! Great value for the amount you get. I've been using this since my college days when I was broke. It's always sold out at Olive Young, which shows how popular it is. There's even a sticker claiming it's the #1 seller in the US, though I'm not sure about that. Anyway, it's definitely a popular mask. 2. Temporary effects on hydration and pore tightening It contains ingredients like Vitamin E and avocado oil, which are known for moisturizing effects. However, you should check the concentration of these ingredients. As the mask dries, it tightens the skin, which they claim as a pore-tightening effect. I'll explain more about this in the drawbacks section. Naturally, when your skin is tightened, your pores will appear smaller, right? But it's just a temporary effect. 3. Simple wash-off pack It's fun to apply because of the color - you might look like Shrek! It's easy to use - just apply, wait 10 minutes, and wash off. More complicated than a sheet mask, but simpler than a modeling mask.
ConsFinally, a product with plenty to critique: 1. It tightens the skin too much physically. The pore-tightening claim is essentially a lie. As it dries over 10 minutes, it severely tightens your skin. They claim this shrinks your pores. But does it really reduce pore size in the long run? My pores are still the same as before. No existing cosmetic product can actually shrink pores. The mechanism of all 'pore-reducing' products is similar to this one. Many dermatologists say it's virtually impossible to shrink pores, even with clinical treatments. Also, pores and sweat glands are different. Pores are hair follicles. Sebum-secreting pores are tiny (0.02-0.05mm) and barely visible. What you want to reduce are actually sweat glands, which are more noticeable. This product physically tightens the skin, temporarily constricting sweat glands. But they return to normal soon after. Think of it like a squeezed sponge - it returns to its original shape as soon as you let go. 2. The ingredients list raises concerns about continued use. Titanium dioxide, a UV-blocking ingredient used to enhance the mask's feel, is actually one of the milder concerns. Diazolidinyl urea, used as a preservative, can release formaldehyde and has been reported as a major cause of contact dermatitis. While it's not used with ethanolamines here (which could produce carcinogenic nitrosamines), I still say nope to this. Fragrance is also used. Since we don't know what kind, those with allergies should definitely pass! Tar dyes in a face mask?! This is a first for me. Sure, there are many tar dyes approved for cosmetics and even food. But remember how many tar dyes deemed safe in the early 2000s were later found to be carcinogenic and banned? Tar dyes often reveal their side effects over time, so I really dislike their use. Just my personal opinion! 3. It stings the eyes terribly. Whew, this really irritates the eyes when used. Whether it's due to the tightening ingredients or some other volatile component, it's very uncomfortable. Avoid applying near the eyes!
TipI found it works better when mixed with honey. It doesn't tighten as much and feels more moisturizing. However, I won't be buying this mask again. There are many other masks with better ingredients available now.

The Shrek pack series didn't work for me, so I'm only using the Freeman series now. 1. Price and quantity: Olive Young often has sales and 1+1 promotions (you can choose different masks), and they sometimes bundle it with a mask brush. It's affordable and you get a lot for your money! 2. Effectiveness: I used to have a lot of acne, so my pores are quite large. But I'm seeing great results in pore tightening. When I use the Freeman charcoal mask, it has a warming sensation, so I always pair it with the avocado mask to prevent pore enlargement. While the pore reduction isn't dramatic, it has definitely stopped them from getting bigger.
Cons1. Application: Even though I avoid the eye and mouth areas when applying, it still feels quite intense and makes my eyes sting. As it dries, the intense feeling subsides, but my skin feels tight and dry, which I don't like. 2. Ingredients: I'm quite conscious about ingredients, and while there aren't any glaringly bad ones, it's still good to be cautious.
TipUsing the Freeman charcoal pack mask afterwards makes your pores even cleaner. If your skin is very dry, you can leave it on for a shorter time.
