Merrymonde Heart-pounding lip kiss [Kiss in the Rain]

Today, I'll be reviewing the Merrymond Shimmer Stick Lip Kiss #AmazingKiss and #KissInTheRain! The Amazing Kiss is a brighter red lipstick, while the Kiss in the Rain is more of a brownish shade. It's interesting that both products have 'kiss' in the name - it's almost as if they're calling out to your lips to become kissable! When you open the packaging, the first thing that catches your eye is the absolutely gorgeous case. The transparent case is dotted with shimmery pearls, and the case itself is in the shape of a heart! Usually, lipstick cases are cylindrical, so this is quite unique. The part I'm particularly interested in is the little charm on the back of the lipstick - I heard it used to be a bead charm, but now it's been updated to a star charm. I was curious about the bead charm too, and both versions look really pretty. Removing the transparent case reveals a super glossy and shiny lipstick. It's not just shiny, but has a beautiful, luminous glow to it. The texture feels very smooth and creamy. There's a subtle, sweet scent when you open the case and apply the lipstick. It's not overpowering at all, just a pleasant, gentle fragrance that puts you in a good mood. When you apply it, the lipstick glides on smoothly and hugs your lips. At first, I thought it might feel a bit drying, but it actually adheres nicely without making my lips feel tight. The color payoff is great and stays true to the shade in the tube. I especially love the Kiss in the Rain product - the color they've created is just perfect. It may look a bit too brown in the tube, but once applied, it becomes a gorgeous pink-brown that gives your face a natural, radiant glow, almost like you're standing under a spotlight. I can see why this would be a great tone for many personal color palettes.

Hmm...it is a matte product, but it has a slightly oily matte finish, if that makes sense. It's a bit tricky to describe, but there's a slight oiliness to it. And it does accentuate flaky bits on the lips a little.

Personally, I think the blotted lip look is the most flattering.

The lipstick is a matte one, but it's a lightweight matte lipstick. However, it was a bit different from the matte lipsticks I used to wear. It seemed to have a slight moisturizing feel, so it didn't create too much flakiness, and the colors are all beautiful, so it will create a radiant makeup look. The color I chose is 'Kiss in the Rain', and it seems perfect for an autumn lip. The formula is a pastel type, so it's smooth and easy to apply without feeling heavy.

The color may look very deep in the photo, but even when applied heavily, it doesn't become overly intense.

Wearing this lipstick as a base and then applying a different tint in the inner part of the lips looks really beautiful.
