  As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I find the oil and moisture balance of this product to be excellent. Light creams often cause blemishes, while heavy ones do the same, but this one strikes the perfect balance with its hydration and texture. The subtle acacia(?) scent is also a mood-lifter.

  Cons

  The only downside might be the price, don't you think? I tried a sample, loved it so much that I bought the full-size product.

  This is an essence emulsion I've loved and used for a long time. It absorbs well even on dry skin, leaving it hydrated. The scent is pleasant, and the texture isn't too sticky. It's been my go-to base product for ages.

  As my skin became extremely dry and prone to blemishes, I had to stop using it because it was clearly irritating. For normal skin types, it provides good hydration and works well.

  Tip

  Except in winter, this essence emulsion is sufficient as a base product. You can apply it gently right after cleansing.

  I have combination dehydrated skin that's super sensitive and prone to deep dryness. First off, true to its emulsion essence nature, this product is wonderfully hydrating yet refreshing! After applying toner and then this product, it didn't just sit on top of my skin but absorbed well, leaving my skin feeling moisturized from within. The fragrance is pleasantly subtle, so it didn't bother me at all. The finish isn't sticky, making it perfect for light application even in summer. I expected it to be incredibly expensive, but considering it's 200ml and an Yves Saint Laurent product, the price isn't as steep as I thought!

  I deducted one star because it contains PEG. The fragrance is also a bit irritating.

  I loved that I could use both an essence and emulsion in one step. The fragrance was more subtle than I expected, which was nice. Unlike the Pure Shot serum that some say causes a stinging sensation, I didn't experience any irritation with this one.

  I tried this serum after getting a recommendation for the Yves Saint Laurent one, and I received a sample of this. Personally, I quite like the scent. I skip the toner step and use this directly. It has a light, fluid texture that absorbs easily, providing a bit of hydration and nourishment. I'm really enjoying it!

  Cons

  The opening is similar to a toner bottle, so at first, it's hard to control and dispenses too much product. You get used to it over time and learn to dispense smaller amounts. And well, there's no getting around the fact that it's pricey!

  Tip

  After bathing with my little one, I'm usually busy tending to the baby first. It's challenging for moms to apply toner, emulsion, and body lotion right away. This product is great as an all-in-one solution, combining the effects of both toner and emulsion, making it easy to apply quickly.

  Hydra Bounce Essence in Emulsion: It's a slightly thinner emulsion type. When applied, it's not sticky and feels refreshing. The scent is subtle. It absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving no residue.

  Cons

  When used alone, the emulsion doesn't offer significant benefits. It seems to work better when used as part of the Yves Saint Laurent Pure Shots 3-step set (this is my personal opinion). The 3-step set includes: Hydra Bounce Essence in Emulsion + Night Reboot Serum + Perfect Plumper Cream.
