First of all, since my lips are small, when I apply lipstick or matte blurring tints all over, it looks too matronly and strange. So I've tried various products, and the water-based tint product is the most natural-looking on me. I've purchased and used a variety of products from Etude, Wehme, and Benefit, but I've settled on this product. This product is the tint I used a lot in my school days, so the image is very much that of a student tint, and my sister teases me, saying it looks like an elementary school tint, and pleads with me to use something else, which is a bit embarrassing, but I stubbornly continue to use it. The main reason I chose this product is that the ingredients are better than other tints, and secondly, the price is very affordable and the cost-effectiveness is good. Since I use it daily, it gets used up quickly, and with eating, drinking, and contact, it seems that tints breed bacteria faster than other cosmetics, even if I wipe my lips and apply it. So after about 3 months of use, I start to see something on my lips, so I replace the tint with a new one. The price is affordable, so it's not burdensome to buy it often. Although it's called a gel tint, when you apply it and pat it in, it just seeps into the lips like water. So when you blot it with a tissue, there's almost nothing left. If you apply a lip balm on top, the staying power is good, and it doesn't transfer when drinking beverages or wiping. I apply it twice, pat it in, blot with a tissue once more, and then apply lip balm, and the red color doesn't transfer. I've also included a swatch photo. When applied to the back of my hand and wiped after 10 seconds, the staining is quite good - it stays even after eating and drinking various beverages. However, you do need to continuously reapply lip balm to maintain the lasting power, as the gel tint alone becomes too drying and wrinkly, and wears off completely when drinking water-based drinks. You really need to top it with a lip balm or lip gloss to make it last. One common downside of water-based tints is that they tend to not apply as well on the upper lip, as shown in the photo - it barely absorbs there, unless your lip condition is really good. So what I do is apply the tint 1-2 times, blot with a tissue, then apply a lip balm as a topper. There's also a type of tint that's a bit thicker and more pigmented, so I'll apply that over the water-based tint, and then gently pat it in with my finger. That way, as shown in the last photo, it applies evenly all over and looks really nice.
ConsThe inherent characteristics of water tint gel tint mean that it is unavoidable, but as shown in photos 4 and 5, it tends to apply well only to the lower lip, with little coverage on the upper lip. When used alone, it can be drying, so lip balm is essential!!
TipTo achieve long-lasting and overall vibrant color, I apply a lip balm over a water tint, then add a pigmented, glossy, and shiny gloss on top. The shiny tints wipe off without staining, so I recommend applying the Etude House Jelly Tint and then layering it, which results in an even application and good longevity, just like the final photo. :)

Once the tint is applied, it has good staying power as long as it doesn't come into direct contact with water.
ConsIt's not a completely watery formula, but it seems to lack moisturizing effects.

This product is very well-known - I even used it when I was a student. I bought it as an affordable option for a pop of color, and it was great as expected. The most impressive things were the vibrant color payoff and easy application. The color looked great after application and dried down to a matte finish, which was nice for wearing under a mask. The affordable price point also makes it easy to use without worry.
ConsHowever, it was a bit too drying for me since it's a water-tinted product.
TipApplying a little lip balm along with it would make the look even prettier.

There was a rumor that it was the most delicious tint back then, as other products would leave a bitter taste in my mouth and make my stomach hurt, but this one, while not extremely tasty, had a sweet grape scent and a surprisingly decent flavor. The old packaging with the curved design was very charming, but I'm a bit disappointed that it's been updated to a straight design. However, I'm still glad that it's available at an affordable price. It applies very smoothly and the color payoff is quite vibrant. It feels moisturizing at first, but does tend to dry out after a while.
ConsThe staining is still quite problematic. Moreover, while the surface wipes off easily, the inner stain often remains, leaving my lips with two different colors. It transfers excessively - no matter how much time has passed, a single tissue touch will leave it all over. The issue is that the areas that do wipe off, wipe off completely, while the other areas remain, resulting in an uneven lip color. It also tends to cling to my teeth quite badly. I think there was a 'vampire' shade or something, and my teeth do end up looking vampiric with the intense redness. The problem is that it mainly stains the front teeth, and the staining can easily set in over time...
TipI'd recommend keeping it as a nostalgic memory from your childhood. I absolutely do not recommend wearing it on its own. After applying, you'll need to use a lip balm to keep your lips moisturized, but then the tint will transfer onto the balm, significantly reducing the longevity and leaving behind an odd staining. However, if you apply it very carefully, you can still achieve a prettier look than some of the more expensive tints on the market.

ConsThe longevity is not great, and it also seems to make the lips extremely dry.

ConsThe longevity was not great. As it is a tint, it felt a bit drying. I think it would need to be applied with a lip balm.

And it's a water-based tint that goes well with light makeup, and the amount is huge. It doesn't leak and I'm using it well.
ConsAlthough it's a tint, the adhesion is not very strong. And it's more like a lightweight watery formula that seeps in rather than a glossy texture, so it can get dry when it sets.
TipWhen I apply the tint and then the clear lip balm, the gradation is done, but my lips look moisturized. I have to make sure to close the cap tightly after using it.

Most importantly, the price!! The price is affordable, so it seems good to use as a student tint. The colors are also diverse, and I'm thinking of buying the Realred color since I've almost used up the Kkanggaeng Red. As for the staying power, I didn't think it was completely bad, and I think it's quite decent considering the price. It didn't wipe off too quickly for me, and the staining didn't last too long either - it was just about in the middle.
ConsThe downside is...when you first apply it, it's a bit sticky and moisturizing, but over time, your lips become a bit wrinkly and dry. There is some peeling, but it's not to the point where it's visible to the eye.
TipExcept for tints that keep the moisture for a long time, I always apply lip balm, which makes the lip expression prettier and the staying power longer.
