Etude's Water Gel is such an affordable throwback tint! The runny formula packs a punch with its color intensity. The Dear Darling Tint is a winner in terms of color payoff and staining power. It doesn't emphasize fine lines, and the staying power is insane! There's probably not a single person who didn't carry this tint in their school uniform pocket. If I had to nitpick, the only downside might be that due to its liquid consistency, it can get messy when opening and closing the cap. Despite its moisturizing application, it's not particularly hydrating. Etude's Dear Darling is like the gold standard of tints. Please don't ever discontinue it! The price-to-volume ratio is incredibly generous. As an entry-level tint, it looks so pretty when you apply just one layer and let it sink in naturally, as if it's your own lip color. Layer it on for a bolder, sexier look that's equally beautiful. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 7, 2021
It absorbs well, leaving the skin moisturized without dryness. When applied heavily, it produces the color seen in promotional images. The shade is beautiful. If you're looking for a cherry red tint, go for it. It stains a pink color and the stain lasts long, so if you like that effect, this will be helpful. I bought this needing a deep, dark red, but even when applied heavily, it comes out as a bright cherry red with blue undertones. You can achieve a darker red by layering it multiple times without rubbing, but the downside is that the color doesn't apply evenly. The bubblegum scent is a dealbreaker for me. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAug 27, 2020
The price is incredibly affordable, and since it's a water tint, the color payoff and staying power are fantastic. I highly recommend this shade for winter cool-toned and deep-toned complexions. A major drawback of water tints is that they can be quite drying on the lips. However, if you apply a lip gloss over it after application, it not only eliminates the dryness but also creates an even more beautiful lip look. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinAug 7, 2020
Despite being a water tint, the color payoff is vibrant and it doesn't dry out my lips! The initial moisturizing effect seems to last longer than other products. Plus, I really love the unique shade - it's not something you see every day! Like all water tints, it's challenging to create a gradient effect. While a lighter shade might have been easier to work with, this darker color is quite stubborn once it stains the lips, making it difficult to blend out. For the best results, I find it's better to apply multiple thin layers rather than one thick layer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 10, 2020
The price and variety of colors. I loved the previous version so much that I had stocked up on five of them. After the renewal, for some reason, the lip line is way too harsh. It's so bad that I absolutely hate it, which is why I've attached a photo. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAtopy SkinMar 30, 2020
First off, I absolutely adored the scent! It's like a sweet grape fragrance. The color payoff was exactly what I was hoping for, so I'm really satisfied. It's truly excellent value for money! When applied to the lips, it leaves very noticeable marks where the applicator has been. For a first-time tint user, I found the staining to be quite intense. It feels a bit excessive. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 16, 2020
The color payoff of this product is incredible. I originally bought it for Halloween makeup, but the pigmentation is so intense that I find myself using it quite often. The color might be a bit too bold for everyday wear, so it's essential to control the amount you apply. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 25, 2019
Hello there! Get yourself the Dracula Red! The color is gorgeous, it's great value for money, and the staying power is impressive! However, this next point could be seen as both a pro and a con: The pigmentation is incredibly intense! And I mean INCREDIBLY! It's quite far from what you'd call 'natural-looking';; Apart from the intense pigmentation I mentioned earlier, I can't think of any other downsides;;.... - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinFeb 26, 2019
The Dracula Red tint is incredibly intense, making it perfect for photos where you want that vibrant pop of color. I highly recommend it to those who love bold, deep shades. It's not only affordable but also convenient to carry around, so I always have it with me. The staying power is no joke - once applied, the rich color lasts for ages due to its intensity. The color is so intense that it can be a bit of a hassle to remove completely when it smudges while washing your face. It's a shame it can be stubborn to take off. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 4, 2018
I always use this as a must-have for its pigmentation. I apply it as a base on my lips and layer other tints on top. The color is absolutely gorgeous. It's a nostalgic tint that many use during their school days, but I'm still using it! My friends even bought it after seeing how beautiful my lip color was when I wore this. It comes off completely when drinking water, and when used alone, it dries out the lips severely. It also creates an odd effect where the lower lip turns red while the upper lip becomes pale. Additionally, I'm disappointed that the ingredients aren't the best. I wonder if I should look for another tint with equally good pigmentation... You can create a really beautiful look by applying this to the inner part of your lips as a base and then creating a gradient with a lighter lip color. The photo I've attached isn't just this tint alone, but a combination with Peripera's Airy Velvet Early Bird.
