  This product is absolutely perfect for winter cool-toned skin types. I've been using it consistently.

  Cons

  The downside is that, being a water tint, it tends to cause quite a bit of dead skin cells to form.

  Tip

  To combat this, I recommend applying a similar but lighter shade underneath before using this product.

  My lips tend to lose color easily, so I bought the nostalgic Dear Darling Water Gel Tint for a blast from the past! The staying power isn't bad at all - it doesn't come off easily. It's great as a base layer. The grape-like shade would suit cool winter or summer muted tones.

  Cons

  If applied incorrectly, it can look a bit patchy. The color is quite dark, so you need to be careful to match it well with your skin tone.

  Tip

  For those whose lip color fades quickly, try applying a base first, then gently pat some cushion foundation, and finally apply your desired lip color on top.

  Suddenly feeling nostalgic, I bought this because the color looked so pretty! Remember how we all used Etude tints back in middle and high school? But it's much deeper and more intense than I expected. It's a cool-toned winter lip color in my opinion! I use it as a subtle accent over a base. Being a water-gel tint, it does give a clear color, but sometimes it pills with the base, and the upper lip line doesn't always stain evenly. Think of it as a typical water tint. I'm satisfied with the value for money.

  It pills with the base and only stains the inner part of the upper lip, so you need to apply it carefully. But the color is really beautiful.

  The product has a beautiful purple hue, true to its sweet potato-inspired name. It would complement summer cool-toned complexions beautifully. Best of all, the price is incredibly reasonable!
