When applied, the line is sharp and absolutely won't wash off in water. The waterproof feature is definitely reliable. The thin brush allows for precise application. I carefully chose this eyeliner hoping it wouldn't smudge over time, but it smudges easily with oily skin. While it's only slight smudging, touch-ups are necessary throughout the day. It definitely smears with oily skin. I've purchased many Cathy Doll products, but this is the first one that's disappointed me. Before this, I used a cheaper Bourjois one which, although less vibrant in color, at least didn't smudge. Now I need to buy a new eyeliner, what a waste of money.
