After using the Cerave stretch mark cream, my friend gifted me the Atopalm stretch mark cream. While it doesn't have the same thick or rich texture as Cerave, it's still quite good. I don't feel like it keeps my skin moisturized from morning shower until evening, though. However, it's affordable and the Atopalm brand makes it trustworthy. It doesn't cause any blemishes, so it's comfortable to apply. It's not too heavy, which can sometimes feel suffocating. Although the hydration might be slightly lacking, it's great for frequent reapplication. I'm 10 months postpartum with my first child, and my belly stretched quite a bit. I keep applying it consistently. It's not too expensive, making it perfect for regular skincare. The scent isn't overpowering, so I'd recommend it to pregnant women too.
My body tends to be drier than my face, and while this cream feels light, I think it lacks the moisturizing power needed to really alleviate stretch marks. When I mix it with oil like I did during pregnancy, it becomes more hydrating.
If you have very dry skin, make sure to mix it with oil when applying. It definitely increases the lasting hydration. Don't give up just because you already have stretch marks - keep applying even after giving birth! It definitely helps reduce their appearance and aids in healing damaged skin, even if it doesn't fully restore elasticity. Don't lose hope! I didn't get stretch marks early on, but they appeared mid-pregnancy. By consistently applying cream, it seemed to prevent them from getting worse.
