I've consistently used this product during and after my pregnancy, so I can provide a more detailed and long-term review. Here's why I chose this stretch mark cream among various brands: Firstly, the ingredients. After learning about my pregnancy, I switched many things to avoid anything harmful to the baby, including this new stretch mark cream. I shortlisted a few options with the least concerning ingredients. Secondly, the price. While there are many expensive stretch mark creams, often received as gifts, I excluded the pricier ones to ensure I could apply it generously without hesitation. Lastly, the brand reputation and user reviews. Believing popular brands are popular for a reason, I focused on Atopalm products. The absorption seemed not too oily, which led to my final choice. Although I planned to buy additional oil for when my belly grew larger in winter, this product alone was sufficient. I applied it at least every 2-3 days consistently, and fortunately, I didn't develop any stretch marks on my belly. While it may not be solely due to this product, I enjoyed the belly massage while applying the cream. The design, with its warm pink color and imagery, gave me a sense of taking my first steps into motherhood. Perhaps the design influenced my choice... Being fragrance-free with a white formula was perfect, especially during severe morning sickness when various scents could trigger nausea. The hydration was sufficient for my skin, which isn't particularly dry. It was moisturizing without being sticky, so I could comfortably cover up after it dried. Recently, I've been using it on my baby too. Since I'm applying it to smaller areas, it absorbs faster and leaves a pleasantly soft and hydrated feeling. The finish and feel of this product made even someone like me, who doesn't usually apply body products, use it consistently. I'd recommend it to my pregnant friends too.
The only drawback I experienced was that it didn't spread well in winter (though this wasn't an issue in summer) and seemed to absorb slowly. While I haven't tried other stretch mark creams, compared to other body products, this aspect was slightly inconvenient. However, the long-lasting hydration it provided made up for this minor issue.
When applying in winter, avoid scooping out a large amount at once. Instead, distribute small amounts across different areas of your body. This method is beneficial for even application, as you can't predict where stretch marks might appear, and it allows for a second layer on drier areas.
