It seems to be a mixture of oriental medicinal ingredients, grain powders, soda (broken down into 3 specific names), sorbitol, glycerin, and a small amount of water. In practice, lightly mixing it with water to use or using it with a foam cleanser has been satisfactory. It can be used for cleansing, scrubbing, and massaging. It is recommended to use 2-3 times a week, but I have been alternating it with the Golden Cleansing Powder for daily use. There is a strong oriental medicinal scent when using it. This may be a matter of personal preference, but I find it pleasant.
