Since I have an oily scalp that can feel uncomfortable after just one day, I prefer products that give a thorough cleanse. This shampoo has a transparent, runny texture, but it lathers up nicely and gives a good cleansing feeling, which I appreciate. However, while it leaves my scalp feeling clean, it doesn't provide much moisture. As a result, my hair feels a bit stiff, so you'll probably need to follow up with a good conditioner or treatment. When I received the package, I was surprised by how small the bottle was. It would be great for people living alone or as a portable option for those who frequent gyms, swimming pools, or public baths.
ConsSome people might find the dispenser inconvenient since it's not a pump - you have to squeeze the bottle to get the product out, and it comes out in small amounts each time.

My previous shampoo used to drip like water, but this one has the perfect balance. It also lathers well. The scent is a refreshing mint, reminiscent of I*lips candy, but it's not just a sharp mint - there's also a hint of sweetness (like peppermint candy). I absolutely love invigorating scents, so washing my hair with this made me feel extra clean. I've tried many minty shampoos before, but this one has the best fragrance by far. It's the kind of scent that makes you wish it came as a candy you could taste. The packaging is also incredibly practical. Unlike typical pump bottles that leave annoying amounts of product at the bottom, this one's different. As you can see from the photos, it comes in a container that allows the shampoo to flow out naturally. I'm so grateful to have received this gem as part of The Hwahae Testers! I plan to keep using this product until the very last drop.
ConsI have dry skin and a dry scalp (without dandruff), and this didn't cause any blemishes. Though to be fair, I didn't have any to begin with. Honestly, there are no downsides to this product. I'm just thrilled to be part of The Hwahae Testers. My whole family is using it now!
TipAfter shampooing, your hair feels squeaky clean. Keep in mind that this might leave your hair feeling a bit stiff, depending on your hair type. For softer, shinier locks, follow up with either a conditioner or treatment of your choice. This is truly a holy grail product.

While the fragrance alone suggested a strong cooling effect, it provides just enough refreshment without irritating the scalp. This makes it suitable even for those with sensitive scalps. ⭐️Cleansing power and lather The transparent, easily flowing formula makes it simple to create a lather. A small amount produces rich foam that doesn't immediately disappear when it encounters oil, indicating good cleansing effectiveness. ⭐️Hair texture I was concerned that the strong cleansing power might leave my hair feeling stiff, but it leaves a soft finish similar to low pH products. However, it doesn't have a conditioning effect, so using a separate treatment is recommended! ⭐️Scalp blemishes This was my main focus! My sensitive scalp usually becomes red, itchy, and prone to pimples along the hairline if I skip washing for even a day. I'm quite picky about shampoos, but the Nioxin shampoo was quite effective in reducing itchiness and pimples! While oiliness still occurs, there's noticeably less itching and no pimple reactions. For this reason, I recommend trying it if you have seborrheic dermatitis.
ConsWhile there's nothing disappointing about the product itself, if I had to nitpick, the price is a bit steep. (You can only buy it during sales!)

Even a small amount lathers up well, giving a thorough cleansing feeling. It would be perfect for summer use, giving a cool, refreshing sensation! However, it doesn't feel harsh or over-exfoliating, so it doesn't leave your skin feeling dry or stripped. What I loved most was being able to choose a shampoo tailored to my hair damage level! I chose number 5, which is apparently great for hair damaged by chemical treatments like perms and dyes, or for dry hair. Unlike some cleansing shampoos that can leave your hair feeling stiff and brittle, this one actually helps replenish moisture. True to its claims, my hair didn't feel straw-like even after just shampooing!
ConsThe value for money is a bit disappointing. The bottle size isn't very large, which is a bit of a letdown.

What I loved most about using this shampoo was the strong peppermint scent that provided a cooling effect on my scalp. The cooling sensation was noticeable but not overpowering or irritating - just a gentle refreshing feeling (similar to other anti-hair loss shampoos I've tried). It also produces a rich, abundant lather and seems to provide a deep cleanse for the scalp. However, since my scalp tends to be on the drier side, I noticed some dead skin cells starting to appear after using this shampoo for a few days. I might have to put it away for now and bring it out again in summer... I also felt that it made my hair quite stiff, but I think this can be easily remedied with a good conditioner or treatment. I'd say this shampoo might be too drying for those with dry scalps, but it would likely be perfect for those with oily scalps!
ConsThe after-feel is too drying for those with dry scalps. However, I think it would be ideal for those with oily scalps.

Given Wella's high brand recognition, my expectations were quite high. The scent is a cool, minty fragrance. You know those after-dinner mints in glass jars at restaurants? It smells exactly like that. I love minty scents, so I really enjoyed it. The texture is a transparent, slightly runny gel. It flows smoothly. It lathers up nicely, which made washing my hair a pleasant experience. Even a small amount produces a rich lather. Rinsing isn't bad either. It washes out quite easily. It's best to use a conditioner afterwards though. While it rinses out cleanly, skipping the conditioner might leave your hair feeling a bit stiff. For a product containing menthol, it didn't give a particularly strong cooling sensation on the scalp. Those who are usually wary of the intense menthol effect might find this comfortable to use. It also does a good job at removing excess oil. I suffer from seborrheic dermatitis but have dry skin, so I'm always on the hunt for the right shampoo. My first impression of this one wasn't bad at all.
ConsDespite having a dry scalp, I'm puzzled that my scalp became oily again soon after using this shampoo. If this happens to me, I imagine those with oily scalps might find their hair getting greasy by afternoon. Also, it caused some blemishes on my scalp, unfortunately. I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily skin types.
TipI'm afraid I don't have any specific tips to share.

I prefer dandruff shampoos over regular ones that feel bland, but some can be too strong. This product strikes the perfect balance. After washing, it effectively controls oiliness, leaving my hair feeling squeaky clean and smooth. My scalp feels noticeably cleaner and fresher compared to before. While I don't have a 'before' picture of my scalp, I'm attaching a photo taken after using it for a few days to show how clean it looks now.
ConsAfter vigorously massaging the scalp, my palms feel a bit dry. I suppose that's a sign it's doing a good job at controlling oil? Remember to moisturize your hands after washing. I wish the bottle was a bit larger.
TipA coin-sized amount is enough. Focus on massaging it into the scalp, then use the remaining lather for the rest of your hair. After rinsing, apply conditioner or treatment to the lower part of your hair.

I have an oily scalp! ✨ User experience What amazed me about this product is how it completely removes excess oil while maintaining moisture. After use, my scalp feels squeaky clean, like I've washed it with soap! The instant oil removal is so visible that I find myself using it every day. It lathers well even with a small amount, which I'm really satisfied with these days. ✨ Scent This product has a strong menthol fragrance. As a menthol lover, I'm extremely pleased. ✨ Texture It has a transparent, slightly runny consistency.
Cons💡 Menthol ingredient While I prefer shampoos with menthol due to my extremely oily, resilient scalp, it might be too harsh and irritating for those with sensitive skin! 💡 Product container The runny consistency combined with a squeeze bottle rather than a pump makes it difficult to control the amount dispensed. It's disappointing when you try to squeeze out just a little, but it ends up gushing out.

It's like a real peppermint candy that refreshes both your nose and scalp! Since scalp heat is said to be the worst for hair loss, I think this would be really effective in that regard. The lather is fantastic too! As someone with extremely oily scalp, using just this shampoo leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean, and it seems to reduce scalp buildup. The timing was perfect as I had a lot of blemishes on my scalp when I won this shampoo. After using it diligently, not only does it cleanse well and feel cooling, but the blemishes disappeared too! For real! After washing, you feel refreshed from the scent alone, and your head actually feels lighter.
ConsI didn't find any downsides! Maybe just that the amount is a bit small for the price? But I understand since it's a functional shampoo.
TipAs someone with very oily hair who used to only shampoo, I found that approach left my hair tangled and too stiff! You might want to use conditioner or treatment along with this shampoo!

As my first time as a Hwahae Tester, I had high expectations. - Color: It's a clear gel-like texture, giving a clean impression without feeling heavy. - Fragrance: Initially, it smelled like peppermint candy. It has a cool but not overpowering menthol scent, as if it contains peppermint. I felt like washing my hair with this minty scent would be refreshing. - Ease of use: The shampoo bottle cap can be pressed with one hand, which I found convenient. The slim bottle design was also easy to grip. - User experience: It seems to have strong cleansing ingredients, effectively removing dandruff and cleaning thoroughly. However, compared to other shampoos, it made my hair feel a bit stiff, so I used a conditioner. After washing, I didn't experience any particular itchiness. - Future use: I'm on the fence about it. In terms of efficacy, it didn't give me that 'this is the one' feeling. Still, I'm grateful for the opportunity to try it, and I'll use up the whole bottle before leaving a more detailed review.
ConsI'm concerned about the sodium laureth sulfate, a surfactant ingredient. While it seems to clean well, I wish it had more natural ingredients for long-term use. The expiration date slightly bothered me. Although it's good until July 2025, the manufacturing date appears to be July 2022. That's why I deducted one star.
TipIt seems to have a strong role in thoroughly cleansing the hair. It appears to be effective for managing hair loss and dandruff. Since I've only used it for two weeks, it's difficult to accurately assess its effect on hair loss. However, I feel like I'm losing less hair recently. I also started taking biotin supplements at the same time, so I'm not sure which one is having the effect.
