Skin type: Combination (oily T-zone, dry U-zone) / Blemish-prone / Super sensitive skin / Mild seborrheic dermatitis (Recently experiencing more small bumps and pus-filled blemishes, currently undergoing dermatological treatment)
Usage and Review:
I've always firmly believed I had oily skin, but as I've gotten older, I've started feeling dryness. The oil that surfaces seems to be due to lack of hydration. My blemishes got so bad that I finally went to a dermatologist for laser treatment.
During my dermatology visits, I learned that I have super sensitive skin and my U-zone is very dry. The doctor advised against using oil cleansers... Unfortunately, I had bought several oils that were supposed to be good for skin troubles. I gave those away to friends and repurchased this product.
I had bought this once before through direct purchase, but back then it didn't seem particularly good or bad, so I didn't repurchase. However, this time, I'm really enjoying it! The scent is pleasant, and it has great cleansing effectiveness.
Since I need to double cleanse even when I only wear sunscreen, I use this product for my first cleanse, followed by a low pH cleansing foam for the second cleanse.
Texture and Feel:
The scent seems better than when I bought it through direct purchase! I read reviews saying that direct purchases might be older stock, so this time I bought it through the official website via Hwahae.
It feels a bit pricey compared to when I bought it cheaper through direct purchase...
As someone who thought you absolutely had to use oil to remove cosmetics (since so many products are oil-based), I'd say to those with sensitive skin and lots of blemishes - try cleansing with a milk cleanser instead of oil! I've heard that even water with cotton pads can be harsh on sensitive skin due to unavoidable friction.
