I had a severe case of folliculitis on my body and happened to use Dr. Bronner's product. Amazingly, it calmed down significantly in just one day! While it didn't completely disappear, there was a noticeable improvement. Curious about the reason, I did some research and found that among Dr. Bronner's products, only the tea tree and eucalyptus variants have proven effectiveness against Staphylococcus. Folliculitis on the body can be either bacterial or fungal. Bacterial cases respond well to antibiotics, while fungal ones require antifungal medication. However, these effects are often temporary, with symptoms returning once you stop the medication. If you're stressed about folliculitis and haven't visited a dermatologist in a while, give this a try. Dr. Bronner's is essentially a liquid soap with simple, gentle ingredients, though it does have strong cleansing power. The consistency is very watery, and while it does produce some lather when rubbed between hands, it's not particularly foamy. This means you might end up using a bit more product. The scent varies by type, but the tea tree version isn't overpowering and doesn't leave a lingering fragrance. There's also a sugar soap version that's brown like brown sugar. It doesn't contain any exfoliating particles, so I can't really comment on its effectiveness for exfoliation. While Dr. Bronner's is said to be moisturizing due to its plant-based oils, I find it leaves my skin feeling dry every time I use it. Also, since it doesn't lather much, I end up using more product just to feel like I'm getting a good clean. For a richer lather, consider purchasing a separate foaming dispenser to use with the product. - da********Combination SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 25, 2023
It feels refreshing, lathers up nicely, and seems to have good cleansing effectiveness! There's nothing particularly disappointing about it! I like how gentle it is on the skin
