This is my holy grail foundation! Even though it's the first one I've ever bought and I'm not familiar with others, this foundation looks incredibly natural. Initially, I wasn't sure about my skin tone, so I asked a staff member who recommended V201. At home, I swatched it on my hand and thought it might be too light, worrying I'd wasted money. But when I applied it to my face, it blended seamlessly, looking just like my skin. I usually apply two thin layers using small amounts each time. This gives my face a lively appearance while making my skin look great. Surprisingly, even a thin layer provides decent coverage. My complexion tends to be a bit uneven, but this foundation covers it well. At first, I was concerned it might look cakey, but my friends said my skin looked very smooth without even looking like I was wearing makeup! If you're aiming for a natural look, I highly recommend this foundation! By the way, it feels moisturizing when first applied, but becomes semi-matte over time.
The downside, though it might be due to my lack of skill, is that it can look a bit patchy if I apply it directly with a damp puff. Also, it's inconvenient to carry the whole bottle for trips or retreats. So, I bought a DIY cushion and put the foundation in there, which works great for application. I didn't experience any issues with it clinging to my nose or looking patchy. (Apparently, this foundation now comes in a cushion form, but I bought mine before that was released...) So, I'd recommend the Ink Lasting cushion foundation for students or beginners, and this liquid foundation for those more experienced with makeup.
I wouldn't call it a pro tip, but if you're not a fan of matte finishes, it might be good to apply plenty of skincare beforehand. Don't worry about looking too shiny - it works out well in the end!
