I received this as a gift and loved how smoothly it applies without feeling thick. As someone with extremely dry skin who prefers richer products, I found it wonderfully hydrating when used as the final step after my toner and ampoule! Unfortunately, the gold particles don't fully dissolve and often sit on the surface. You might end up with sparkles on your face, so be careful when applying. Also, those who dislike rich textures might not enjoy this. Instead of applying a thick layer all at once, try layering thin amounts multiple times for better absorption and less pilling. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 6, 2022
I received this as a gift from my nephew during his first leave from military service. It absorbs well and leaves a protective film-like feeling on the skin. Even when layering other products on top, there's no pilling or sliding off. While it's good in many ways, it's quite drying. I expected it wouldn't be drying due to the protective film it forms, but somehow it is. When cleansing, it feels like you're peeling off a layer, yet it still leaves the skin dry. The container is also too large, making it difficult to hold in one hand and taking up too much space. Occasionally, some gold flakes seem to float on top, so you might need to check your reflection again. Given the high retail price, I wouldn't buy it at full cost. Due to its drying effect, I apply toner multiple times, followed by a serum, before using this as the final step. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinApr 2, 2021
I have combination dehydrated skin with occasional blemishes scattered here and there. Firstly, the cream's texture is incredibly rich and bouncy. Secondly, it contains gold flakes. Thirdly, it claims to have a lifting effect. While I can't say it's ideal for oily skin, I'm giving it a try based on its promised lifting benefits. It feels like it sits on top of the skin rather than absorbing well. I'm not sure about the lifting effect yet, though it requires consistent long-term use to see results. It seems like it would be excellent for those with dry skin. It's quite expensive. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 14, 2021
The gold flakes make it look luxurious, and I love the affordable price! It feels a bit slippery at first, but if you keep patting it in, it seems to become more elastic and firm on the skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 13, 2020
The texture is just right for a night cream, not too heavy or overwhelming! I loved how lightweight it felt, and after using it overnight, I could visibly see my skin looking smoother and clearer the next morning! Maybe that's why my smile lines seemed less noticeable, and my complexion appeared brighter too. I had received the Black Snail Cream as a gift before, but it was too rich for my oily skin and even caused some redness. This product, however, was truly amazing. The scent is also much better than the Black Snail version. A few times when I used it, my skin felt greasy and shiny the next morning, as if the cream hadn't absorbed properly. I think this happened when I used it with a hydrating moisturizer or applied too much before bed. When I use just the right amount, the difference in my skin the next day is remarkable, as I mentioned above. Some reviews say the ingredients aren't that great, but I didn't experience any blemishes, so I didn't notice. Still, those who are concerned should keep this in mind. Oh, and paying full price for this might be a bit much... ask a military friend to get it for you at a discount! After using it a few more times, I think it does cause acne... It didn't completely break me out, but I've noticed some small pimples popping up, so I've stopped using it. Use sparingly! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 3, 2020
The hydration power seems really impressive. It absorbs well and the overall composition is great. The price is a bit steep... And it feels a bit too rich, which is a slight drawback. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 22, 2020
It contains gold particles and absorbs well, leaving a moisturized feeling on the skin. While it's hydrating, it doesn't sink in immediately and feels like it sits on top of the skin a bit. It seems best suited for nighttime application only.
