The gel mask adheres perfectly to the skin, helping to soothe it. If you keep it in the fridge and apply it to overheated summer skin, it calms quickly. The essence doesn't drip and the mask fits snugly on the face. It would be nice if there was a more hygienic way to use the tweezers. Store in the refrigerator before use - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 28, 2020
It seems to calm my skin well when I feel a burning sensation on my face, and as it dries a bit, it adheres better to the skin. It's really inconvenient to pick up with tweezers. I can't count how many times it fell, which was quite frustrating. Also, I dislike how the excess essence drips everywhere. Even when I put it on my face, it keeps running down my neck. Even though I often use it by soaking a cotton pad with the essence, there's still so much liquid left. - Hwahae UserOily SkinDec 12, 2020
It works wonders for calming summer-ravaged skin by effectively reducing skin temperature. The citrus scent is personally appealing to me. The container is generously filled with the liquid essence. After about 2 minutes on the skin, it quickly warms up, so unless you store it in the refrigerator, it doesn't stay cool for long. Being a hydrogel mask, I felt the temperature rising and falling rapidly. Unfortunately, it doesn't retain the essence or liquid well, which was disappointing. Despite having tweezers included, I found it a bit inconvenient to take out each sheet individually. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinSep 21, 2020
The cooling effect when you apply it is really noticeable and feels great. You don't even need to keep it in the fridge - it's refreshingly cool and has a good calming effect. It's great for soothing blemishes when placed on troubled areas of the face. I used it for about 3 evenings after removing my makeup, and my blemishes significantly reduced. Maybe it's because autumn is here, but my skin has been really dry lately. When I apply this after just using toner, my face stings so badly... It's as painful as if someone slapped me, with a throbbing sensation. I'm starting to think it doesn't suit me, even though it does help with blemishes. I tried using it as a lip mask on my dry lips, but my mouth felt numb so I had to take it off. There's not enough hydration if you use this alone. If you like a fresh feel it might be okay, but I have to apply two different creams after using this. It's better to use this after applying an emulsion or cream. Otherwise, for some reason, it stings. Those with super sensitive skin should be cautious. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 30, 2020
Great for immediate soothing! My skin is usually very picky with masks, but this one didn't cause any itching or tingling at all. It feels incredibly cool even without refrigeration. As a big fan of hydrogel masks, I'm definitely planning to repurchase. The price point is a bit disappointing. It's not exactly budget-friendly for students. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAug 17, 2019
It was just okay for me. To be honest, it's a mediocre mask - neither particularly good nor bad. However, I did appreciate that it was generously soaked in essence, almost to the point of overflowing. In the hot summer, applying aloe gel and then putting on a refrigerated mask does provide a cooling effect that feels soothing. But beyond feeling cool, I can't say I noticed much else. The calming effect is more like it's lowering the skin's temperature! There's been a lot of talk about the adherence - when you first remove the mask, if you stick the bottom part that was just peeled off, it clings tightly without moving. The upper part has a lot of essence, so when I tried flipping it and reapplying, it started to drip. At this price point, I probably won't repurchase. It seems a bit lacking in value for money. You end up using it quite liberally, but the price is high. When chilled, it lowers your skin temperature, which feels refreshing and seems to relieve fatigue, but there's no real sense of improvement or noticeable effects. It's just... unremarkable. This is just my personal opinion, so please take it as a reference only. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 12, 2019
As someone with heat-prone skin, sensitive to blemishes and prone to redness, especially in summer, I can say this product is truly amazing! Unlike other soothing products that only work while they're on, this one keeps my face cool for 20-30 minutes after application. It's fantastic for calming redness. The product itself is incredibly cooling even without refrigeration, and it soothes my skin wonderfully. The cooling effect lasts long after use. I love it so much I use it three times a day! There's nothing to complain about. I was initially worried that the cooling effect might irritate my sensitive skin, but this has turned out to be my favorite skincare purchase ever. There's no need for refrigeration. I'm too lazy to keep it in the fridge, so I just store it on my vanity. When I use it while blow-drying my hair in the morning, it prevents my face from turning red. Usually, the heat from blow-drying makes my complexion flush, but not with this! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 21, 2019
My skin was so dry it was flaking, so I bought this for soothing! I applied the mask while drying my hair after showering, and it stayed on pretty well. It gave a slightly cool sensation. My skin doesn't usually get acne or blemishes, but I'm prone to itching and red patches. I have super sensitive skin, so I bought this for calming effects. At first, it felt cool, but then it started to sting a lot. I thought maybe that was normal, but my friend said it only felt cool for her. It didn't suit my skin at all, and far from soothing, it didn't provide any hydration or calming effect... So I gave it to my friend. I strongly advise against buying this if you have sensitive skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJun 19, 2019
Personally, I absolutely adore these masks! I'm currently on my fourth or fifth jar. Being a hydrogel, they adhere to the face so much better than cotton pads, which I love, and they cool down quickly. They're fantastic at reducing facial heat, and they've been a lifesaver in calming my skin when my acne was at its worst. Will I repurchase? Absolutely! The best part is that these pad-type masks can be applied to specific areas. I'm not a fan of full-face masks as they feel a bit suffocating. Occasionally, there are these small black spots on the pads - I'm not sure if they're impurities or what (see attached photo). They don't come off when I try to scratch them, which is concerning. I started noticing them from the third jar I used, and they're present in my latest purchase too. It's not every pad, but I find about three or four per jar. Given that these are applied directly to the face, it's a bit unsettling. I really wish there was more thorough quality control. On hot days, it's absolute bliss to put two of these on your cheeks right after washing up when you get home, and then sit in front of a fan. Applying them for about 10 minutes before putting on makeup in the morning also helps your makeup go on smoother! Of course, I don't always have time for this, but personally, I find it heavenly to use them after coming home. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 13, 2019
When you're too lazy for a full mask routine. Quick and easy before makeup in the morning. It's convenient to stick one patch each on your cheeks and forehead. Great for quickly reducing redness on flushed cheeks or calming the skin when you're in a hurry. The ease of use makes it a winner! It stings. At first, it's uncomfortable, then it gets better... but the stinging sensation makes me reluctant to use it. Maybe because I have super sensitive skin. As for the cooling effect? Well, I'm not sure. Everyone's reviews rave about the cooling effect, but I don't get it. I tend to have a warm face, so I should be more sensitive to cooling, but I don't feel any cooling sensation at all.
