Pros
The brightening properties seemed to make my face look more radiant. While the difference wasn't dramatic, there was an overall improvement in my complexion. I was worried the rich texture might cause blemishes, but it didn't. It definitely has good hydrating power, so it should be great for dry skin.
Cons
The texture is extremely thick, which makes it a bit challenging to apply smoothly. You need to apply plenty of hydration to your face first for it to spread well. Using this alone isn't enough for hydration, which is disappointing. I wouldn't recommend using it during the day as it causes makeup to pill and feels heavy. It might be better used as a sleeping pack.
Tip
After cleansing, I tone my skin, then use a toner pack or the 7-skin method to provide ample hydration before applying this product. I like to apply it thickly like a sleeping pack, and when I wake up the next morning, my skin feels incredibly soft.

Pros
Great for dry skin - it's moisturizing without feeling tight. While I haven't noticed any dramatic changes yet, I've been focusing on whitening products lately, and my complexion has definitely brightened. I'm considering repurchasing.
Cons
It pills if you apply too much. Definitely don't get greedy with the amount!
Tip
I'm using it by applying a little at a time, then adding a tiny bit more on areas with hyperpigmentation, freckles, and acne scars. I warm it up between my palms and press it into my face - it might be my imagination, but it seems to absorb better and the effects feel amplified this way.

Pros
The tube packaging is hygienic. While I'm not sure about its wrinkle-reducing properties, I think we can expect a bit of brightening effect.
Cons
It's quite pricey, and it's hard to expect dramatic results. After checking on Hwahae, I'm concerned about its high risk factor, which makes me uneasy.

Pros
I started using this because I noticed dark spots settling under my eyes... After about a week of application, while the blemishes didn't completely disappear, I noticed the surrounding skin tone began to brighten, making the spots appear lighter.
Cons
The packaging... Even though many ointments these days have good textures, with this one you have to carefully calculate and squeeze out just a small amount. Maybe due to the pressure, it keeps coming out, so I often end up having to scoop some back in. After using it for a while, I learned to squeeze out just a little bit and use what comes out afterwards. Remember to roll up the tube like toothpaste after use. On the bright side, it doesn't take up much space when it's time to dispose of it.
Tip
I mix it with a hydrating essence and apply them together.

Pros
I applied this product at night, focusing on spots with acne marks, redness, and dark spots. The results were definitely noticeable in terms of brightening. I could visibly see the marks becoming lighter, and even stubborn spots that had lingered for a long time started to fade. However, that seems to be the extent of its effectiveness. You can expect the intensity of the marks to reduce from 100 to about 50-70 on a scale.
Cons
It keeps coming out. Once you squeeze it, it just keeps flowing. You need to close the cap immediately after use.

Pros
I chose this over Clinique's whitening essence because it has one more brightening ingredient, making it more cost-effective. I've been using it for about a month now, and I'm halfway through the bottle. For a brightening product, it's surprisingly hydrating. There's definitely a noticeable effect in fading blemishes. While I bought it hoping for overall tone improvement, it seems to excel more at clarifying the complexion and lightening dark spots or blemishes. To be honest, it's not going to dramatically change your skin tone from 23 to 21, but you can clearly see the brightening effect as it fades dark spots around the under-eye area and cheekbones. The most visible results appear in the first week of use. When I consistently applied it as part of my evening skincare routine for the first couple of days, I was thrilled to see my complexion noticeably brighten after just two days! However, that's about it... After using it for about ten days, the effects seem to plateau. If you stop using it, the dark spots seem to intensify again... Still, it's better than not using anything at all!
Cons
Don't expect this to magically transform your skin tone from 23 to 21! That said, it's cheaper than the pricey Clinique option and has one more brightening ingredient. As for the packaging, well... I'm used to this ointment-style tube. I just keep squeezing until nothing comes out anymore! Once you get used to it, you'll figure out how to control the amount you squeeze out.
Tip
Well, it's not exactly a pro tip, but I've heard you shouldn't use this alongside products containing exfoliating ingredients like BHA or AHA. Apparently, when combined with brightening ingredients, it can make your skin more sensitive...

Pros
Out of all the brightening products I've tried, this one takes the cake! Rather than just making my skin look brighter, what I really loved was how it gradually faded my blemish marks and dark spots - exactly what I was hoping for. And for a brightening product, it's surprisingly non-drying, which is a huge plus!
Cons
The price is a bit of a downer. I'm currently using a free sample I received from a past event, but unless there's a major sale or you find an incredible deal, it can be quite a splurge.
Tip
Most brightening products tend to be drying, so it's crucial to pair them with good hydration. Also, it's best to apply brightening products in the evening when there's less sun exposure for optimal results.

Pros
Well... it's moisturizing and the scent isn't off-putting. The squeeze tube makes it convenient and clean to use. No blemishes appeared either. The best part is the noticeable brightening effect! It became apparent after about two months. I bought it for acne, but my complexion improved. My neck was originally darker than my face, but now my face has become even lighter! It seems to have evened out my skin tone.
Cons
It's not worth using. I bought it because I have severe acne scars, but there's no significant effect and it's not good value for money.
