First, let me tell you about my skin type: it's super sensitive and extremely dry! I get blemishes during PMS, and if I use incompatible cosmetics, I wake up the next day with acne and itching. Even after applying oil and doing a thorough skincare routine, I wake up with parched skin. Most '23' shades on the market make my dark skin look pale! My skin is so thin you can see the capillaries! The best thing about this product is its skin-friendly ingredients! It's vegan cosmetics! I bought it after checking the ingredients, and it really seems gentle. Usually, when I use high-coverage cushions, I break out due to pore-clogging ingredients, but not with this one. After applying, I wondered where that lovely scent was coming from... it was the cushion's floral fragrance that instantly lifted my mood. The scent is a universally appealing, fresh floral aroma. It's a moisturizing cushion that works well for my extremely dry skin! While overly moisturizing products can settle into wrinkles, this one applies in a thin layer without emphasizing lines. It feels light on the skin, which is great. Most importantly, I didn't experience any blemishes the day after using it! I bought this after reading reviews for the Natural Beige shade! Many reviews said it was slightly darker than the typical '23' shade on the market, which is true! However, it appeared a bit light on me. I think it's because my skin tone is between 24 and 25, on the darker side. This shade would probably look natural on those with slightly lighter skin tones or those looking for a more natural alternative to the typical '23' shade! While it's not a downside for me, it's worth noting that the coverage is minimal. I'm satisfied because I was looking for a lightweight, gentle cushion that only evens out skin tone. But if you're expecting more coverage, a concealer is a must! Oh, and the puff is quite small... Maybe it's because I have large hands, but the puff seems tiny! Is this a pro tip? I use it with the Dear Dahlia concealer I bought together! What was the shade... MN2? Neutral Beige? When used together, it really makes my skin look amazing! The concealer is darker, so it matches my skin tone perfectly when used with the cushion! And of course, make sure to do a thorough skincare routine before applying for a moisturized, natural finish! - s0****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 11, 2020
As someone with super sensitive skin who has to carefully choose cosmetics based on ingredients, I was generally satisfied with this product. As I've gotten older, my once-oily skin has become closer to dry. The moisture line is hydrating enough for combination dehydrated skin, and I think it would work well for dry skin too. It applies with a natural complexion, though it doesn't provide coverage. If you want coverage, a concealer is a must! While there is some breakdown over time, it doesn't look messy or turn ashy - it just fades to look like my natural skin. I'm really pleased with it! Unfortunately, there's no refill option available. They only sell the full product or a set with the full product plus a refill. This is something to consider when repurchasing. Given that it's not particularly cheap, I wonder why I should buy the full product again. I'm thinking about trying a different product instead. I wish they would make refills available for purchase. Also, the puff it comes with isn't great - I use a different one. I wanted to give it 5 stars, but I had to take off 2 for these issues. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 29, 2019
1) Scent - Some cushions have a strong cosmetic smell, but Dear Dahlia has a pleasant floral fragrance that made me feel good while using it. 2) Ingredients - It's a vegan product, and I confirmed there are no harmful ingredients. 3) Hydration - At first, it felt like I wasn't wearing makeup, and it seems suitable for use during the winter season. 4) Hygiene - Since it's not a sponge type, it gets less messy. You press it each time you use it, which makes it more hygienic. 1) Case - It looked so pretty in the photos, but since it's not real marble, it only gives a slight impression of it. 2) SPF - It's not a sun cushion, just a regular SPF 37. If you press just the right amount each time, you can use the cushion quite efficiently. - sy******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 21, 2019
Finally, Dear Dahlia is selling refills for their Skin Paradise Pure Moisture Cushion Foundation!!!! I've been waiting for this, as I didn't want to keep buying the full product every time. It's great news! First off, I discovered this brand through Director Pi's recommendation. I checked the ingredients on the Hwahae app and found them to be safe, which increased my trust in the product. I've been using it happily ever since. There are two shades available, and I use Natural Beige. I usually wear shade 23, which can sometimes be too light and create a noticeable difference with my neck. However, this foundation has such a natural color that it blends seamlessly with my neck and original skin tone, which I love. Currently, my skin is very dry, sensitive, and in the process of repairing its barrier. If I choose the wrong foundation, it can look dry and settle into fine lines around my eyes and nasolabial folds. Dear Dahlia's foundation, however, is moisturizing with a natural finish. Its gentle ingredients work well for my extremely dry and sensitive skin that's currently healing. Given my skin condition and the fact that I work in a dry environment with constant heating, I mix natural oil into my moisturizer as the last step of my skincare routine. I also mix some into this foundation. This seems to help protect my skin's moisture barrier throughout the day. The lack of refills was disappointing before, but that's been resolved now. I'm thrilled that refills are available! For those with extremely dry skin like mine, try mixing a few drops of facial oil into your foundation. It seems to keep the skin from feeling parched throughout the day.
