I often get nervous when trying new cosmetics due to immediate irritation, but this one was fine. It doesn't leave a white cast and feels moisturizing like an essence when applied. The translucent formula allows for quick application without a mirror, making it convenient for busy mornings. It's also easy to remove - after wearing just the sunscreen, a simple water rinse followed by foam cleansing is enough to wash it off completely without residue. On days when I'm concerned about excess sebum or potential blemishes, I found that lightly prepping with a cleansing pad or micellar water before washing works well. It's great that I don't need to use an oil cleanser.
ConsWhile it was good at first, I became disappointed with continued use. Firstly, the sunscreen forms a film-like coating on the skin. This makes it impossible to apply makeup over it. Even the lightest cushion foundation with no coverage pills and lifts terribly. Regardless of the type - foundation, powder, glow cushion, or matte cushion - no base makeup works. Neither brushes nor puffs help; everything just pills like dead skin cells. Secondly, the dryness. Despite the moisturizing texture when applied, my face feels extremely dry from forehead to neck after a short while. Even with a really solid skincare routine underneath, the hydration doesn't last more than a few hours. I have combination skin with an oily T-zone but prone to dehydration, and using this product for sun protection daily leads to breakouts around my chin. So I avoid using it for more than 3 consecutive days. I bought three, gave one to my sister, and managed to finish one, but I'm reluctant to use the last one. Since it washes off easily, I might use the remaining product on my arms or shoulders in summer. I wouldn't recommend this for those with dehydrated skin, but it might be okay for oily skin types or those who don't wear makeup often.
TipOn days when I'm not wearing makeup, if I use a super hydrating skincare routine and add a drop or two of facial oil before applying this sunscreen, I don't experience dryness. During seasonal changes or in autumn and winter, make sure to use a robust skincare routine underneath.

I switched to Espoir's Water Splash Sunscreen, which I was initially satisfied with. However, it seems I got overconfident with my calm skin, and Espoir's chemical assault awakened my dormant acne instincts. After being thoroughly chastised by these two extremes, I set out to find a mineral sunscreen with good absorption or a chemical sunscreen with decent ingredients. But with the recent sunscreen SPF controversy, many well-reviewed options were discontinued. After testing everything in the Olive Young sunscreen section for 20 minutes, I found this sunscreen to be the most hydrating, with soothing ingredients and no white cast - and it's a mineral sunscreen! How is it possible for a mineral sunscreen to have no white cast? Anyway, as soon as I switched from Espoir to this, all my blemishes calmed down and now my skin is peaceful again. I'm so relieved!
ConsAs others have pointed out, it does pill like dead skin cells. This definitely confirms its identity as a mineral sunscreen! Accidentally verifying its nature! To be honest, with all the mask-wearing lately rubbing against my face, this might not be an issue once we stop wearing masks and don't touch our faces. On the other hand, I wonder how to touch up makeup... But by then, the sunscreens cleared out by the controversy should be back, so I'm not too worried.
TipWhile this is a hydrating mineral sunscreen, it's still a mineral sunscreen, so you can feel it drying slightly by the afternoon. Go for a moisturizing makeup look!

It's very hydrating. Despite not being a mineral sunscreen, it applies transparently with no white cast, so you can reapply without worry. It doesn't cause any small bumps or blemishes.
ConsI bought it because it claimed to be easily washable, but it doesn't come off completely with just foam cleansing. If you apply too much, it can pill like dead skin cells, so you need to control the amount.
TipIt's a bit oily, which is disappointing for my oily skin. However, for those who found mineral sunscreens too dry, this could be a great choice. It's lightweight and comfortable, making it perfect for daily use.

The moisturizing effect really makes a difference. It's light enough to wear comfortably in summer, yet hydrating enough for winter use as well. Talk about versatility!
ConsIt tends to pill. If you apply too much, it really rolls off like dead skin cells. I got quite a shock when I was patting on my cushion foundation over this.
TipIf it's pilling, well, I guess you just need to apply less... (feeling a bit sheepish)

Cons* It's hard to say it pairs well with base makeup. It tends to pill around the edges of the face and jawline * The scent isn't particularly pleasant, but it's not strong so it's tolerable * Occasionally, it stings a bit when applied to reddened or sensitive areas, but it doesn't seem to cause any real issues
TipIt's a decent, no-fuss sunscreen that's easy to use

I love that it doesn't feel heavy on the skin and doesn't cause any blemishes. It's great because it's oil-free and provides just the right amount of hydration.
ConsAfter it dries, it can pill like dead skin cells, and if you try to rub it off, it pills even more. Just be careful about that.
TipIt's not ideal for wearing under makeup. However, it's really nice to use when you're just applying sunscreen before heading out.

There's no white cast, and it feels like an emulsion, so it doesn't leave my skin feeling uncomfortable.
ConsSunscreen is a must before makeup, but when I apply foundation over this, it pills like dead skin. When I skip this and apply foundation directly, there's no pilling. I think this product might be best used on its own.

Cons- It's a bit pricey considering I use it generously every day - After some time, my face feels slightly tight, and when I touch it, it pills like dead skin cells

You can reapply without issues. It gives your face a subtle, natural brightening effect.
ConsIt tends to pill under a face mask, similar to how makeup might rub off (though I'm not sure if other sunscreens do this too).
TipApply a thin layer and make sure it absorbs well into the skin.

After the laser sessions, my skin becomes super sensitive, extremely dry, and I experience a lot of redness. I've only had one session so far, so I'm not sure if this is normal, but that's the current state of my skin, unfortunately. To minimize irritation, I carefully check ingredients and try to use products that aren't too rich. That's why I chose this sunscreen. The good points are that it's not thick at all, and the absorption is truly excellent - it's quite fluid. The cream-like texture makes it so pleasant to apply. There's no stinging around the eyes! And there's no white cast - it feels like you're not wearing sunscreen at all!
ConsWhile it doesn't sting my eyes, it does make my face tingle a bit, though that could be because my skin is currently so sensitive. If you apply multiple layers, it tends to pill. Those with very dry skin who need to layer on thick skincare should avoid this product.
TipApply this over light layers of skincare!
