I tried Etude's Long Lash Fixer in black after noticing the white residue issue with the clear version over time.
I have monolids (thin double eyelids) and downward-pointing lashes, making it hard for mascara to last. Usually, I only use a lash fixer for my everyday look since regular mascara doesn't hold up for more than half a day.
This product applies like mascara, but it's not an intense black - more of a soft black, which I personally prefer for a natural look. It has a slight lash-lengthening effect (very subtle) and doesn't add much volume. However, if I curl my lashes, apply this, let it dry a bit, then curl again, it lasts over half a day even on my challenging lashes.
On really good days, I was surprised to find my lashes still looking great the morning after a night out drinking!
It does tend to turn slightly white as it dries. While it's less noticeable than the clear fixer due to the black color, you can still see a bit of whitening. It changes to a slightly grayish tone.
