The color payoff is great! It was really useful when I had to take graduation or ID photos. The scent is overwhelmingly strong... It seems like they tried to mask an unpleasant odor by adding a strawberry fragrance, but it ends up smelling like strawberry-flavored antibiotics you'd get from a pharmacy. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 23, 2020
First off, I thought I was a deep warm autumn, but lately I'm not sure if I'm deep or muted - though I'm definitely warm-toned! ✔️Application True to its mousse tint nature, it glides on smoothly. It's not particularly lightweight, but it doesn't feel heavy either! ✔️Staying power Unless you're eating or drinking, this lasts over 6 hours! After eating, only the outline remains. I also own 'Merciless Boss' from this BBIA mousse tint line, and this one seems to have slightly less staying power... ✔️Color Now for the most important part - the color! It's 40% brown, 40% orange, 10% pink, and 10% red! But here's the thing - I bought this tint near the end of last spring and used it up, so I repurchased in January. The color seems different from last year's! The one I bought last year had the color breakdown I mentioned, but this year's is 20% brown, 20% orange, 40% red, and 20% pink.... ✔️Price On Hwahae it's listed at around 9000 won, but the actual selling price is 6000 won! This price actually increased by 300 won from 5700 won this year. At 6000 won, it's super affordable compared to most tints and lipsticks! ✔️Packaging The cap is rose gold and it's really pretty! This series has other cap colors like blue and regular gold, but personally, I think this color is the prettiest. ✔️Scent The fragrance is a bit overwhelming, I'd say it's not great... ✔️Emphasizes dead skin cells There's no emphasis on dead skin cells when you first apply it, but as you layer it, it starts to highlight them more and more... First photo: This is the tube I bought last year that I've almost completely used up. Second photo: The one on the right is the almost empty tube, and the left is the new tint I just bought! Third photo: The design near the shade number has changed slightly! Fourth photo: The top is the one I just bought, the bottom is the almost empty one! Maybe it's because of the difference between new and almost used up, but the colors are a bit different... Oh, and I slightly adjusted this photo to match the actual color as closely as possible! Fifth photo: This is the stain left after applying and wiping off with a tissue! The stain color is exactly the same as when applied for both the almost empty and newly purchased ones. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinMar 29, 2020
I have dry skin with a warm undertone, around shade 21. I was curious about Bbia lip products since they're popular among young people, so I decided to try one. The staying power isn't bad - it lasts through a meal with some color still remaining. The formula applies smoothly and evenly, creating a matte finish without emphasizing dead skin cells, even though I have some on my lips. Lastly, while there is some staining, it comes off well with lip and eye makeup remover. The scent. Personally, I didn't notice it much when applying, but when I opened the product, the fragrance was a bit overwhelming. Staining. It leaves a pinkish stain on the lips. Color payoff. The color looks different on the lips compared to swatches on the hand - I actually prefer how it looks on the lips! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 22, 2020
The color is definitely beautiful! It's like a slightly dried rose, but a bit deeper? I'm really satisfied with the color itself! The application feel is also quite nice! It's perfect for short outings in terms of staying power! While the application feels good, it dries out quickly. Unfortunately, the scent is quite artificial, which is disappointing. Also, as you use it more, it tends to leak more and more. Here's a pro tip: Apply some Vaseline or lip balm before the tint. This not only makes the color pop more but also prevents it from drying out your lips. It's an absolute game-changer! - Hwahae UserDry SkinOct 30, 2019
With autumn in full swing, I've been craving a fall-inspired lip color. I wanted to try that trendy brick lip look and go for a deeper makeup vibe. But all my lipsticks were either pink or red, so I headed to Lobs to swatch every autumnal shade. I ended up buying this one and a Rom&nd. The packaging is gorgeous. It looks luxe for the price point. Among the Last Velvet fall shades, this one had the prettiest swatch on my hand. I bought it despite my friend warning me that Bbia isn't known for nailing lip colors. Honestly, all the other fall shades I swatched were just okay. I'd recommend this to fair-skinned folks with deep undertones. The initial application is on the sheer side, but that's not a drawback if you like mixing lipsticks or doing gradients (which is why I deliberately bought two to use together). So I'll mention it as both a pro and con. The texture is lovely. It's not watery, nor too heavy - like softened butter fresh out of the microwave. It's easy to apply, whether you're going for full coverage or a gradient look. No need for lip brushes or cotton swabs. First off, the smell... It's truly awful. Even a $1 cosmetic probably wouldn't smell this bad. I'd say the scent alone cost it 2 stars. It's such an unpleasant odor (like alcohol mixed with stale cosmetics) that I avoid drinking water for a while after application, fearing it might get in my mouth. While swatching for this review, my coworker noticed the smell. I'm so sorry... The initial application is sheer. While lip colors often look different on hands vs. lips, this one has a particularly stark difference between one swipe and two or three. (The color itself doesn't change, just the opacity.) Occasionally pills up like yogurt skin. It stains pink (checked after showering). If applied to dry lips, it can emphasize dead skin cells. You'll need to keep your lips moisturized. The swatches show one, two, and three layers from top to bottom. For the second and third layers, wait a bit between applications to achieve the deeper color you'd see when casually swatching on your hand. However, writing this review after swatching on my hand is challenging due to the smell. If you're sensitive to scents, think twice no matter how much you like the color. I've had situations where I couldn't reapply after eating with friends, fearing I might get nauseous, and ended up going home bare-lipped. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 14, 2019
This is truly my holy grail tint! The color payoff is absolutely gorgeous, and the shade is completely my style. It's like a slightly darker red with a hint of orange - maybe 0.5% - giving it a subtle coral hue. It's so beautiful that when I lost it after just a week, I immediately bought another one. That's how much I adore it! I wasn't a fan of the scent, to be honest. It had this cheap, artificial smell that reminded me of low-quality snacks. The fragrance was so noticeable that when I was eating with the tint on, it felt like I was having a meal with the Pia tint as an unwanted guest. The scent kept wafting up to my nose, which was a bit disappointing. For better staining, use just a small amount! The Pia tint has a thick consistency, so if you apply too much, it can feel heavy and cakey. You really need to be careful with the application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 25, 2019
The color is absolutely gorgeous! I got it for 5,700 won, which is quite reasonable. It's truly one-of-a-kind. The fragrance is overwhelmingly strong. I had to remove it immediately. It's just too intense for me. Invest in quality products. You get what you pay for when it comes to skincare. Apply to the upper and left areas.
