It's between a thick cream and an emulsion in texture, and it absorbs fairly well. After application, it leaves the skin feeling moisturized with a slight healthy glow. The generous amount seems sufficient to soothe early-stage stretch marks and redness.
ConsI had high hopes for this stretch mark cream, but was disappointed to learn it's only effective for early-stage redness. With limited areas of early stretch marks, it was hard to expect significant results. I ended up using it like a body emulsion, only able to comment on its moisturizing effect and slight firmness improvement the next day. After a 2-week test, I'm unsure about its effectiveness on early stretch marks. It would be better if they enhanced the firming effect! While stretch marks are an issue, sagging skin after weight loss, rough texture, and darkened areas are also concerns. A multi-functional product addressing these would be ideal. Personally, I didn't see any effects. However, since I don't have skin blemishes, using it as a body lotion made my skin feel smoother.
TipIf it doesn't absorb well, try warming it up on the back of your hand before applying evenly to your skin for a smoother feel. Think of it as using a gentle body cream rather than expecting dramatic results. For enhanced effects, massage it in as recommended - using a rolling massager could be beneficial. The product comes in a generous size.

After having two babies and experiencing weight fluctuations, I was left with quite severe stretch marks. So when I won this, I applied it diligently! Although my stretch marks have already turned silvery, I started using it hoping for improvement. As stated, it's more for reducing redness, so it doesn't significantly help with existing scars. However, unlike facial products where moisture evaporates quickly and you wake up with an oily face, this body emulsion provides long-lasting hydration for my typically dry skin. We use Illiyoon Ato Emulsion for both kids, and my eldest, who used to scratch areas prone to atopic dermatitis, has improved significantly. Now, just applying the emulsion generously keeps the skin moisturized without scratching. Lucky kid! Personally, I think this product is great for maintaining moisture longer without flaking, especially when layered over an emulsion in winter, even if not specifically for stretch marks.
ConsIt's disappointing that I didn't see much improvement in stretch marks, as mine aren't the red line type. The cream itself is nice and velvety without being too heavy, but there's a theory that stretch marks are genetic. Apparently, stretch mark creams only control the degree of stretching, so I guess I'm out of luck...
TipWhile the cream is disappointing for stretch marks, that's its intended function, so I can't completely fault it. However, I love the Illiyoon brand overall for its gentle yet effective products. I stock up on their emulsion for myself and the kids, and I'm on my second large bottle of their lip and eye remover. I love you, Illiyoon! Because my skin isn't great, I've become more attentive not only to my own skin but also to my children's, trying to take care of it proactively. It seems that as a mother and as a woman, I need to be diligent in many ways. We all know that consistently applying products every day is the most challenging part. Even if it's bothersome, let's keep up with our home skincare routines! Cheering on everyone who's putting in the effort!
