I absolutely love this product! The coverage is excellent, and its semi-matte finish keeps my skin from looking too shiny without drying it out. It looks so beautiful that I don't even need to use powder. The staying power is impressive too - with just one or two touch-ups, it lasts all day without breaking down. I think this would work well for all skin types, from oily to dry. I've used up the entire container, and honestly, I can't think of anything I dislike about it. This foundation seems to be a versatile option that works hard to provide great coverage and longevity while maintaining a natural-looking complexion. It's rare to find a product that suits such a wide range of skin types and doesn't require much additional powder for a flawless finish. - da***********Dry SkinAcne SkinDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 7, 2025
The coverage and adherence were absolutely fantastic!! While there was a slight feeling of heaviness, it lived up to Diverny's reputation and was truly excellent!! The heaviness was a bit intense, making it somewhat uncomfortable for extended wear!! - in******Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 30, 2025
I recently found my holy grail that ended my foundation nomad life... It's the Giverny Milchak Cover Foundation in shade 17 Porcelain! True to its name, the 'adhesion' is absolutely insane. After applying, I looked in the mirror thinking, 'Is this really my skin??' First, let's talk about the color. I usually use the lightest shade between 17 and 21, and Giverny's 17 Porcelain has a clear, bright pink base that adds a bit of life to dull skin. It's perfect for those who love fair skin without any redness. But the real highlight of this foundation is its adhesion! It glides on smoothly at first, but when you pat it with a puff or brush, you can feel it melting into your skin. You know that feeling when it clings to your skin as if it's your own? It absorbs into your skin texture without emphasizing pores or fine lines, providing thin and even coverage. It makes you feel great the moment you apply it. Your skin looks beautiful while feeling comfortable. I used to worry about my makeup breaking down quickly, especially around my nose and chin when wearing a mask. But this product has decent longevity, and more importantly, its great adhesion means it transfers less onto masks! The coverage is quite good too! It can neatly conceal blemishes and redness with thin layers, and amazingly, it doesn't look cakey. Thanks to its excellent adhesion, you can build it up without any patchiness or clumping. It gives you that 'naturally good skin' look rather than a 'wearing makeup' look. I'm so satisfied! The finish is slightly semi-matte, but it keeps your skin hydrated underneath, so I think it would work well for dry to combination skin types. I wore it comfortably all day without any deep dryness, and it feels so light that it's perfect for daily use. When your skin is dry, it may crack, so you need to ensure a solid skincare routine. To sum up: ✔ Bright shade 17 Porcelain ✔ Ultra-adhesive texture ✔ Minimal transfer to masks ✔ Thin yet good coverage ✔ Smooth finish without patchiness In essence, it gives you that 'skin-like foundation' feel rather than 'foundation on skin'. I'm so satisfied with this product that I'll definitely repurchase when I run out! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a foundation with excellent adhesion. - go*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 30, 2025
This is the best foundation I've ever used! It goes on thin but with great coverage. If you prep your skin well, it gives you a dewy, honey-like complexion without looking cakey. The way it wears off is actually pretty, and I think it looks even better after it mixes with your natural oils. The staying power is fantastic too. The best part might be the color - it's a warm base that's not too yellow, so I find myself reaching for it all the time. I used to use Hera #23, but it was too dark and had a dull, yellowish tone. I love that Giverny has a #22 shade, and the color itself is just beautiful. There's a bit of darkening, unfortunately. It's not too bad, so I'm mixing it with a purple-toned base. Also, it tends to break up a little around the mouth area. You really need to have a solid skincare routine as a base. It works great with a beauty sponge! - wl******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 12, 2025
This product has a rich texture that's great for oily skin. However, if you have oily skin, I'd recommend not layering too many base products underneath. The coverage is decent, and it applies smoothly without feeling too thick. My skin tone is around 22-23, but this color appeared slightly darker on me. If you have a similar complexion to mine, I'd suggest trying shade 21 instead. - yh******Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 5, 2025
The coverage was decent, and the staying power was quite good. My complexion is a bit dark for shade 23 but too light for 21. I bought shade 22, which initially looks bright but darkens to match my skin tone nicely as it settles. As I have oily skin, I found the Giverny Matte Foundation worked better for me than their Adhering Cover Foundation. The Adhering Cover is slightly more fluid, while the Matte is, well, more matte and thicker. If you have extremely oily skin, I'd recommend the Matte. If your oil production isn't too severe, the Adhering Cover could work well for you. - dh*********Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 3, 2025
I bought this during a sale and have been using it for a week. There's absolutely no dead skin cell accentuation! It works great for my combination dehydrated skin without being too drying. As time passes, there's a slight tendency for it to settle into the creases around my nose or create some patchiness. It's not severe, so I continue using it, but I think a good skincare routine would help minimize this. In my opinion, it seems to come out a bit lighter than my actual skin tone. I recommend mixing it with a hydrating foundation. This combination helps address dry areas, preventing patchiness and creasing. You can really maximize the benefits of this foundation by blending it with a moisturizing one. - so********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 21, 2025
As someone with combination dehydrated skin that tends to be very dry, I love this product! It provides great coverage and doesn't cake up. It's really disappointing that there's no special set available for shade 22. - ch********Dry SkinRednessRecommendedFeb 20, 2025
Giverny is the foundation that settled me down after being a foundation nomad. I tend to focus on longevity and adherence rather than coverage, and this one has no darkening at all. As for coverage, I don't have many areas that need it, so I found it quite good. Since using Giverny, I've never experienced my base makeup separating. Even though I rarely use powder as it dries out my skin, my makeup doesn't wear off or separate. All my friends ask me what foundation I use and end up buying it too. I mostly use liquid foundation rather than cushions, and while other foundations had some minor shortcomings, with this one, I can't think of anything I'm dissatisfied with. As someone with dry skin, I loved the moisturizing formula, but if you have oily skin, it might be a bit too dewy. Also, since I don't have many blemishes or pimples, I'm not sure how well it covers those. If you find Giverny a bit too dewy, try mixing it with VDL. It works wonders, truly. - st*************Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresJan 21, 2025
The color has a beautiful ivory tone. (Though I'm not sure how this is considered shade 22... It's similar to Etude's Double Lasting Foundation in shade 13) I bought this with high expectations due to its YouTube fame and rave reviews, but I'm ultimately disappointed. What a waste of money... 1. Adherence? Despite 'adherence' being in the name, it sticks less than other foundations. It leaves marks and doesn't feel like it's bonding with the skin at all. I've tried it for about three months with various application methods - flat brush, pore brush, round brush, regular latex puff, cushion puff, disposable puffs, damp puff, Mustaev puff (which usually works well with everything), spatula, and even changing my skincare routine - but I'm not planning to use it anymore. 2. Texture refinement Even if I overlook everything else, it's not even pretty; it accentuates texture somewhat, and depending on your skincare, it can separate over time. 3. Coverage It's just average. Not low or high, but right in the middle. Actually, I'm satisfied with this since concealer should be used for coverage, not foundation. The best method I found was applying cream to the back of my hand, lightly picking up the product with a new puff, and then applying. Use a moisturizer, not a damp puff!
