First off, I love the gentle ingredients! As someone with super sensitive skin, I often get blemishes on my scalp. I have thin hair and focus on preventing hair loss. When I get a scalp analysis at the salon, they tell me my scalp is sensitive and dry due to frequent coloring and heat styling, and my hair is damaged and breaking. I also have to shampoo daily because my scalp gets oily quickly if I skip a day. In short, I have a scalp that needs some TLC. With all the external stressors like pollution and UV rays these days, I need to be extra careful. But I'm not diligent enough to apply hair essences daily. For me, choosing a shampoo with good ingredients is the bare minimum effort. I hadn't found one I liked until I got this opportunity to try this well-formulated shampoo from Hwahae. I'm used to tea tree products for my combination skin, so I enjoyed the subtle scent while shampooing. The pump dispenser made it easy to control the amount and lather evenly. It foams up nicely even though I thoroughly wet my hair first. I used to think strong, long-lasting fragrances were good, but now I prefer more natural scents, which I associate with better ingredients. Plus, when your scalp is healthy, your hair naturally has a pleasant, subtle scent. Sometimes strong-smelling shampoos give me headaches, but I don't have to worry about that with this one. The rich lather seems to cleanse thoroughly, removing impurities. After shampooing, my hair feels moisturized without being greasy. The balanced hydration prevents my hair from feeling puffy, and it dries nicely even without styling. I often skip conditioner without noticing much difference. Most importantly, as someone with damaged hair and a sensitive scalp, I appreciate that this product has gentle, beneficial ingredients and is slightly acidic. It eases my hair loss concerns, and I'm considering making it my go-to for consistent hair care.
The pump dispenses small amounts at a time. However, this actually helps control the amount used and prevents waste. The scent is subtle. If you're someone who believes shampoo must have a strong fragrance, you might find that this scent doesn't linger long. You may need to use a separate hair essence for a longer-lasting scent.
For a healthy cleanse without irritation, wet your scalp thoroughly with lukewarm water first. This helps soften any dead skin cells and impurities. Then, work up a lather in your hands before applying it to your scalp.
