The applicator is a bit on the thicker side, so those who prefer a thin brush might not like it as much.
It does smear a little on my eyes, but I think for my eyes, this level of smearing is really not much at all.

It doesn't weigh down at all, it's light and has just the right amount of volume, and it applies cleanly without smearing at all. Even the Holika Holika mascara smears on my eyes, but when I wore this one, I was surprised that there was almost no smearing under my eyes by the time I got off work...
The color is also pretty. It's close to black, but not a stark black, so you can use it without feeling out of place.
The applicator gets thinner towards the end, so you can apply it carefully to the front and outer corner lashes.

The curling power is good, but the formula is a bit heavy. Over time, there is some drooping. If you don't use a lash curler before going out, giving your lashes an extra pinch with the curler will help the curl last longer!
