The texture is like a thin, soothing gel with tiny thread-like particles. As you roll it on, these threads dissolve quickly, so they're not bothersome at all. It feels cool when applied, absorbs well, and doesn't leave any residue, making it great for summer use. Even when layered multiple times, it absorbs nicely. The generous amount allows for liberal application without worry. I bought this because azulene usually works well for me, but I couldn't really tell if it had a calming effect. After it's fully absorbed, there's a cooling effect and a moisturized feeling, but it quickly becomes dry again. The blue container is pretty. The texture feels moisturizing and the scent is pleasantly mild. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I felt it lacked sufficient hydration for me. Also, having to burst the capsules is a hassle, and when they rub against the face, they create a scratchy sensation that might not be suitable for acne-prone skin. It works somewhat better when I mix it 1:1 with another rich serum.
