The formula is transparent and has an appropriate viscosity, and it lathers well. It is soft, moisturizing, and rinses off cleanly without any residue, leaving a refreshed feeling. It has a menthol-like Hwahae sensation without an overpowering cool sensation, and it is gentle. After using the shampoo, there was no itchiness, greasiness, or scalp irritation. It contains soothing ingredients like panthenol and madecassoside, which helped manage scalp irritation without causing any scalp irritation, and significantly reduced scalp itchiness. During use, there was a sense that hair loss was reduced. My hair is a bit frizzy. Adding a treatment or conditioner would be helpful. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 20, 2023
There's absolutely nothing good to say about this... It's easily in the top three worst shampoos I've ever used. I have seborrheic dermatitis, and this shampoo made it so much worse. My scalp became incredibly itchy, and I developed severe acne along my hairline and on the back of my neck. The smell is really unpleasant too. It left my hair feeling extremely dry and brittle. This is truly the worst product ever! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 13, 2021
Surprisingly, there wasn't a single positive thing about this product... I think this might be the first time I've given such a scathing review on Hwahae. Wow, everything about this product was disappointing from start to finish. 1. It claims to alleviate hair loss symptoms, but I couldn't notice any effect whatsoever. It's just the same. 2. The scent is really... I don't know how to describe it. Like an old man's musty smell? If it's going to be like this, they should have just made it fragrance-free. 3. It makes your hair feel like straw. It's stiff and completely lacks moisture, leaving it extremely frizzy. 4. This was the most infuriating part - it's supposed to be a scalp care shampoo, but why does my scalp feel itchier and greasier when I use it? And the smell on my crown gets worse. I think it's because of that peculiar shampoo scent (the musty old man smell). In short, it completely fails as a shampoo for sensitive scalps. I tried to use it up somehow because it felt like such a waste, but I ended up throwing away a quarter of the bottle. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 27, 2021
It helped alleviate scalp itchiness. There's a refreshing, cool minty scent, reminiscent of peppermint. It also lathers up nicely with plenty of foam. While it was effective for my scalp, I felt it left my hair feeling a bit dry and straw-like. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 27, 2020
For reference, I have severe hair loss and wash my hair every other day due to its condition. I have a sensitive scalp prone to itching, blemishes, and dandruff if I use the wrong shampoo. My hair can even clog the drain. This shampoo has a slightly runny texture, lathers well, and left my scalp feeling refreshed after washing. As someone who's tried various hair loss shampoos, I'm used to the slight eye irritation. 1. By afternoon, my hair became flat and lifeless (especially in this heat, it's not just the bangs but the whole head that loses volume). 2. A conditioner seems necessary as the shampoo alone leaves hair feeling stiff and frizzy. 3. In hot weather, by afternoon you can smell a mix of the shampoo's scent and scalp odor. 4. The itchiness isn't significantly reduced. 5. Despite careful washing and thorough rinsing, I still got sebum buildup, pimple-like bumps, and blemishes around my forehead. 6. It doesn't improve hair loss - I should see at least some reduction each wash. As I'm finishing the bottle, my drain is still clogging, and seeing clumps of hair fall out while drying brings me to tears. This seems better suited for those with healthy scalps and good hair texture who are looking for maintenance, rather than those with itching or progressive hair loss.
