It never separates! As someone with oily skin, most foundations and concealers I've used would eventually break apart, but since I started using this, I've never experienced that issue. Plus, I've never had any blemishes from using it! The coverage seems a bit lacking. It does provide some coverage, but it doesn't completely conceal acne scars and other marks on the face.
