After using Bioderma for my first cleanse (with a separate eye makeup remover for mascara), I've been using a low pH cleanser for my second cleanse. Everything was fine until the weather got warmer, and then even after washing, my face felt a bit itchy or like something was left behind. I thought I might need to change my cleanser. The product claims to cleanse fine dust, sunscreen, and makeup, but I used it as my second cleanser. It really felt like it was cleansing - you can tell it's doing its job. Unlike low pH cleansers that can feel slippery, this one feels like it's truly cleaning your pores. The cleansing effectiveness is really good, and it lathers well too.
ConsFor long-term use, the ingredients aren't great, and there are small particles or granules in the foam which I didn't like. It seems a bit too harsh for frequent use (though it does dissolve quickly in water). While it feels like it's cleaning out even the base makeup stuck in your pores, it seems to wash away all moisture and oil. It might be too much for winter use or for those with dry skin.

To be honest, I wrote a review before, but I think I wrote it when I was too upset, so I'm back to write again. There aren't really any good points. If I absolutely had to pick one thing, I guess I'd say the packaging design...
ConsI'm really disappointed. I don't even have particularly sensitive skin. My skin is dry, but not extremely so. I received a sample and used it yesterday, and honestly... • My skin stings and burns. It really burns and stings, and it's still red even now. I usually get along well with Soon Jung Cica Balm, so I applied it before bed, but it still burns. Oh, really... • Pores on full display Hello there, pores, long time no see - I didn't really want to see you... As my skin turned red, my pores opened up too. They've gotten bigger. • Itchiness My skin is itchy and I can't even scratch it... I don't know what to do. • Deep dryness, or rather, extreme dryness Wow, it's really drying. I strongly discourage this for those with dry skin. After washing, my skin feels tight and stings... I regret not checking the ingredients first. • The fragrance is just... I'm not usually sensitive to fragrances, but throughout the cleansing process, it felt like I was applying perfume to my face. It's infuriating! Until I went to bed last night, there was this overpowering perfume smell on my face, and I hated it. • Irritation from fine particles There was something in it, I'm not sure what, but I think it was the main cause of the stinging during cleansing. • Cleansing effectiveness I wasn't even wearing a makeup fixer, but my mascara remained... Luckily, I had removed most of my makeup with cleansing water beforehand, but it was really troublesome when the mascara residue spread all over my face during double cleansing. • Conclusion: Blemish party It's become a great place for tiny blemishes to gather. Bravo! I'm so angry, I've never broken out like this before... I don't know what to do... Wow, this is the first time I've written about so many disappointing aspects...
TipI can't just say 'don't use it', but be careful? Please test it out. Make sure to cleanse your neck too... I'm sorry for this inadequate review, but thank you for reading it.

It leaves my face feeling squeaky clean and thoroughly cleansed. Even with a small amount, when used with a foam net, it's fantastic for removing makeup!
ConsIt's so drying that I can feel my skin tightening deep down. Even after rinsing and before applying any products, my face feels tight from within, despite still being damp. This is the most irritating foam cleanser I've ever used!
TipI've found that mixing a small amount of this product with a gentler cleanser that doesn't remove makeup well, then using a foam net, works quite nicely. By the way, I bought a foam net on sale at Olive Young for just 900 won, and I love it! It's a great value.

I used it after my first cleanse, and it effectively removed makeup residue.
ConsThe ingredients are all potentially irritating, with an excessive amount of acids. I bought this 'natural papain enzyme cleanser' without checking the full ingredient list. I wondered why a natural enzyme cleanser had such intense cleansing power... Well, the answer was in the ingredients. It leaves skin squeaky clean, and when I followed up with an exfoliating toner, I was shocked to see so much dark residue on the cotton pad.

It's summer, and especially when I wake up with oily skin, this felt really crisp. It's even more squeaky clean than Senka. The foam is fine and plentiful - you don't even need to work hard to create it. Just rolling it on your damp face produces enough fine bubbles for effective cleansing. My skin is thin and super sensitive, so I usually can't exfoliate separately. I don't use dedicated facial exfoliants, only occasionally using Brazilian scrub or toner/mild cleansing water when I have blemishes or feel like my pores are clogged. This cleansing foam contains fine papaya enzyme particles, allowing for gentle dead skin cell care without irritation. (I'm not sure if it evenly cares for the whole face as the particles burst quickly on contact, but I focused on areas like my nose and between my eyebrows). The container keeps the product clean without water getting in, and the thin nozzle makes it easy to control the amount used. The subtle scent was also nice.
ConsMaybe it's because it contains three PEGs, but apart from the particles, the foam itself is quite harsh. It strips away moisture completely (even more than other cleansers for oily skin). It's so strong that after washing and drying with a towel, I felt irritation. With continued use, I noticed more redness on my face and my skin becoming visibly thinner and more sensitive. I don't recommend it for sensitive or thin skin. Among products I've tried in a similar price range - including Golyeom, Happy Bath, Innisfree, Mamonde, Senka, The Face Shop, and others - this felt the harshest. (Even The Face Shop's Dr. Belmeur cleansing foam, which feels a bit strong like dish soap, didn't irritate my skin much). Even my sister, who's not usually sensitive to skincare products, said this was harsh. Using this weakened my skin barrier significantly, causing stinging and redness. After stopping and switching cleansing foams, my skin recovered. While it removes surface oil and cleanses the outer layer well, it doesn't deep cleanse pores, so whiteheads remain almost unchanged. Although I bought it on sale, it's still pricier than my usual Senka/Mamonde/other products, and it didn't meet my expectations or justify the cost. I tried mixing it with baby body wash, but seeing my skin deteriorate, I think I'll have to buy a different product.
TipSince I couldn't use it on my face at all, I'm using it for other cleaning purposes. It works well when mixed with bleach water for cleaning the bathroom floor. The particles are good for scrubbing between tiles. Photo 2: Foam lather. Photo 3: How powdery the skin feels after washing with this cleansing foam.
