This is a very honest review from The Hwahae Testers. <<Overall Assessment>> Current skin condition... Firmness is urgently needed. My face is gradually sagging, causing my jawline to widen and my face to look larger. That's why I'm only using products effective for firmness and lifting, and I'm also doing galvanic lifting treatments. First off, I was lucky enough to win the Missha Firming Functional Serum, so I stopped using all my other essences, ampoules, and serums, and have been using only the Royal Serum morning and night consistently. Usage period One week Effects It definitely works for firmness. Collagen is listed as the first ingredient, so that's probably why. My soft skin has become a bit more bouncy. However, the lifting effect is not so noticeable... An unexpected benefit is that it's good for texture management (my skin has a sleek glow) After applying it twice, I achieved skin like my friend who does a daily mask routine and goes out bare-faced - that day, I had that kind of skin too. <<Now for the detailed review>> Texture and application When applied to the skin, it has that slightly elastic feel typical of collagen products It glides on smoothly and feels moisturizing due to the oil components. It spreads thinly and evenly. However, the part that comes up the dropper doesn't mix well, no matter how much you shake it. Scent My mom was impressed and loved it... but to me, it has a typical, somewhat old-fashioned, heavy cosmetic scent. But I don't dislike it. A slightly seductive floral scent? Similar to Silk Therapy hair serum? Moisturizing power The hydration is really good. Lately, I've been going out bare-faced with a mask on, and before using the Royal Serum, my skin would be dry all day even with the mask on. But after using the Royal Serum, my skin stays smooth and moisturized all day long. Praise-worthy points I was frustrated that road shops and Olive Young had many hydrating, soothing, and brightening lines, but not many functional ones for firmness or lifting. I'm grateful that Missha has released this. Price I'll be aiming for Missha's cone sale. Ingredients and blemishes I have sensitive skin, and despite many cautionary ingredients, I didn't experience any blemishes at all. Maybe because the amounts are so minimal...?
I'm concerned that shaking it vigorously before each use might introduce a lot of oxygen, potentially speeding up the oxidation process. Also, while the outside of the dropper mixes well, the product already in the pumping tube doesn't mix finely. Given its great moisturizing power, it should have been released late last autumn when it was extremely dry~
Try applying it twice, like layering. You'll get the glow that comes from a daily mask routine. It lasts all day!
