It's remarkably similar to Byredo's fragrance... I wonder if all tulip scents are like this? While it's probably not intended to be a dupe for La Tulipe, for those looking for a more affordable alternative, here's a comparison: The initial scent upon spraying is almost identical - if you weren't comparing them side by side, you might mistake this for La Tulipe! However, when tested simultaneously, there are noticeable differences. La Tulipe is much heavier with a slightly sweet undertone, and its lingering scent remains similar to the initial fragrance. In contrast, the Bodyholic product is much lighter, leaning more towards fresh than sweet. Naturally, the longevity differs when compared to a perfume. The initial heavier scent, reminiscent of La Tulipe, fades quickly, leaving behind a similar but lighter tulip-adjacent aroma. So, it's not quite suitable as a direct replacement for La Tulipe. However, for those intrigued by La Tulipe but hesitant about the price point, trying Bodyholic's Grasse Tulip could be a good starting point. If you enjoy this type of scent and want something more substantial, then investing in La Tulipe might be worth considering.
The main drawback would be the longevity. With a light application, you might worry it'll disappear before you even reach your destination. (The scent itself is lovely though! It smells like a flower shop.)
Interestingly, this might be perfect for those who already own Byredo's La Tulipe. Some people spray perfume on their hair to increase longevity, but this can damage your locks. Instead, you could use La Tulipe on your body and clothes, and spritz Bodyholic's Grasse Tulip in your hair. This way, you're matching the overall fragrance profile while boosting longevity and protecting your hair.
