It's excellent as a cleanser. As someone who wears light makeup, I can see today's dust and skin makeup coming off when I soak a cotton pad generously and gently wipe my face.
ConsThe ingredients don't seem to be super gentle! It shows up with 3 cautions. Also, it's only effective after removing eye makeup separately with a dedicated remover. This doesn't remove eye makeup at all! For me, who only wears face makeup, this works well! However, it can be a bit pricey if not bought during a sale.
TipGenerously soak a cotton pad and wipe your face

My skin type is sensitive and dry. If I use a product that doesn't suit me, I immediately get blemishes, redness, itching, and a tingling sensation. That's why I'm always on the hunt for gentle cosmetics. I found cleansing with oil too bothersome and time-consuming, so I tried cleansing tissues and waters from various brands, but they all caused blemishes. However, when I used Avène Micellar Water, I didn't experience any skin issues. I think I've found my holy grail!
ConsIt contains three not-so-great ingredients and has a very strong fragrance. But since I follow up with a cleansing foam for my second cleanse, I think it's okay. I'm just satisfied that it doesn't cause any blemishes on my face! Regarding its cleansing effectiveness: If you use waterproof mascara, you'll need to use a separate lip and eye remover. I use easy-to-remove makeup, so the cleansing water alone is sufficient for me.
TipAs you probably all know, for a gentle yet thorough cleanse, soak a 5-layer cotton pad with micellar water, place it on your skin for about a minute, then gently wipe. This method effectively removes makeup without irritation.

Even the slightest mistake in application can make my face tingle and break out in tiny bumps. That's why I use a lot of products with gentle ingredients. Among them, I frequently use Avène products. I've been using this cleansing water for about 6 months, and it's truly amazing! It feels as gentle as washing with water. The purity sensation is fantastic.
ConsThe cleansing effectiveness is slightly disappointing. While it removes most things well, it struggles with lip tints. However, it's perfect to use after using a lip and eye remover.
TipIt works wonderfully if you do a first cleanse with a cotton pad, then dispense some into your hands and massage it in like a toner for a second cleanse. This method provides great hydration and thorough cleansing.

However, on those really lazy days, I turn to this product for cleansing. I soak about 5-6 thin cotton pads generously and use them to cleanse my face. It removes most makeup effectively without causing much irritation. While they say you don't need to rinse afterwards, I usually follow up with a light face wash. Perhaps that's why I've never experienced any blemishes from using this.
ConsThe downside is that for really stubborn eye makeup like eyeliner and mascara, you'll need to use a specialized eye makeup remover for a thorough cleanse.

My mom and I are using it together, and she has even more sensitive skin than I do. She usually notices right away if a product has harsh ingredients, but she says this one is truly gentle! The lightweight finish is a big plus. Unlike other cleansers that leave my skin feeling tight after washing, this one doesn't provide intense hydration, but it leaves my skin clean without any dryness. As I mentioned earlier, there's no irritation at all. My skin doesn't react or feel any stinging sensation! The scent might be a bit divisive - it's like a baby powder fragrance? But I find it pleasant enough to use regularly.
ConsThe cleansing power is a bit disappointing. It can't thoroughly remove long-lasting lip tints, mascara, or heavy makeup, so I need to use a separate cleansing oil for those. The price is a bit on the higher side.
TipStock up during Olive Young sales!

It's hydrating due to the hot spring water content. Available in various sizes. Suitable for removing light makeup.
ConsThe texture feels heavy. Despite being made with hot spring water, which should be gentle, it leaves a slightly heavy feeling rather than a clean sensation. Cleansing effectiveness is poor. It doesn't remove point makeup well at all. While it somewhat removes eyebrow products and base eyeshadow, it completely fails to remove shimmer, eyeliner (Kiss Me brand), and mascara. It actually feels like it's irritating the skin while trying to remove makeup. I switched from oil cleanser because this was said to have good cleansing power, but I was shocked. I guess water-based is just water-based after all. If you're expecting thorough cleansing like I was, you'll likely be disappointed.
TipSeems good for removing light base makeup.

Initially, I thought it was a toner, but it turned out to be a cleansing product! It removes foundation well too! Some people mentioned the scent was bothersome, but I don't find it that noticeable... It dissipates quickly. I'm using it in place of a toner! It leaves my skin feeling moisturized without any tightness.
ConsHmm... It doesn't remove mascara or lip tint effectively. It doesn't seem to be a product with strong cleansing effectiveness. Occasionally, I feel a burning sensation on areas with large blemishes...
TipUse it as a wipe-off cleanser! Following up with a light water rinse seems to make for a good skincare routine.

I have about half of the micellar emulsion left, but I don't think I'll be using it anymore.
ConsMany people think of this as a gentle cleansing water, but from my experience, I'm not sure if it's truly gentle. First off, it contains PEG ingredients, so it's probably best avoided by those with super sensitive skin. After using the micellar emulsion, I often felt a tingling sensation, and my skin became dehydrated, causing dead skin cells to appear white. I found its cleansing effectiveness disappointing even for removing lightly applied sunscreen. It doesn't remove eyeliner or mascara at all.

ConsEven after soaking a cotton pad and rubbing for quite a while, it struggled to remove waterproof mascara, leaving residue behind. It also didn't effectively remove glitter from the aegyo-sal area. It's probably best to use this only for basic makeup removal. However, it leaves a slightly uncomfortable feeling after use, and the scent is overpowering. Even on days when I wear light makeup, I find myself using cleansing oil or foam afterwards to feel truly clean.

Even when it gets in your eyes, there's no cloudy vision. Unlike products with separate oil and water layers, this one has an overall water-based formula, leaving your skin feeling fresh after cleansing. It removes most lipsticks and eye makeup effectively, though occasionally it might struggle with extremely waterproof mascaras.
ConsCompared to Klairs Cleansing Water, it can cause a slight tingling sensation if it gets in your eyes. For heavy eye and lip makeup, it might not remove everything completely, so my friend found it a bit inconvenient as she needed to use a separate cleansing oil. However, as someone who doesn't wear heavy makeup or use mascara often, I don't find it problematic and use it comfortably.
TipIt's especially great for travel. When I want to remove my makeup on the plane, I soak a cotton pad generously with this product and wipe my face several times. Then I use the warm towel provided on the flight to wipe off any residue. I can skip washing my face, just apply moisturizer, and go to sleep comfortably.
